I used to be a decent fighter when I trained for fighting for six years. I haven't been on the mat in three years, however, so I doubt I'd be much good at fighting, despite being much stronger and even more athletic.
I do, however, think that with my current athletic base and my previous experience fighting, I could be a better fighter in a year than I was three years ago.
