You were fat not because you didn't exercise, but because you ate too much. And you probably ate too much because you fucking suck at measuring food. So get a kitchen scale to count calories. You need objective numbers because your subjectivity is fucked in this area from being a fatass for so long.
There's also little point in exercising right now. Exercise is not what's going to get you to stop being fat nor is it going to stop you from becoming fat once more. Losing weight is 100% about the diet, exercise only gives a little help (calories burned by being alive aren't all that different from calories burned by being alive and doing a bit of exercise).
SO, my advice:
