It can, but it depends on the judge and fed.

Also some people seem to benefit more from the overload of tng than from more specific paused reps. Usually that's people who are both efficient at getting into the pause position and at maintaining everything during the pause. Those guys probably aren't getting anything extra out of pausing on rep work.

i almost failed a 2nd attempt at last meet because i brought it down and was like wobbling it around and it felt like i wasnt going to get the command
lowered 3rd attempt from plan, controlled it better and got fairly shorter pause, didnt even have a sticking point like the 2nd

I've been careful to try sitting down (leading with my knees rather than my hips) and it feels like my depth has really benefited from it. It seems like I can perform an atg squat when I'm doing goblet squats but for some reason just regular back squats cause me to lean forward even when I'm trying my best to keep a vertical torso.

Currently when I try to perform a third world squat, I tend to fall backwards when I try to sit on my heels. Right now I'm just trying to squat deep more often and see if I can't develop the balance.

You can get stronger even when doing a cut, at least as long as you stay at a double digit bf percentage. I had no problem continuing my Hepburn progression while going from 3.5k to 2.85k calories. Planned carb refeeds (500g+ carbs, 40-50g fat, ~10-20% caloric surplus) once a week or even twice when closing in to the end of the cutting phase can help you a lot with maintaining muscle and strength.

The first time I did S/B/D ever I think I got like 80kg half squat, 60kg bench for reps and 135kg stiff leg deadlift (not intentionally SLDL I just didn't know what I was doing) at about 70kg bodyweight.

Wasted a few years fucking around with no routine, going to the gym twice a week and taking months off randomly, but I was up to about 130/100/180 @80 when I decided to stop wasting my time and train properly.

Feel like progress has been decent since then. Getting RTS coaching and doing a meet every 3-4 months.

The movement of my foot inside the shoe doesn't feel great when walking out near maximal weights. I'd also like to try a little bit of a heel, but if chucks make for a secure fit I'd definitely prefer them.

From my remembering, chucks are only loose cloth as surrounding as well, so i never really understood why they are hyped so much as lifting shoes.

When you look at actual lifting shoes you can see material that actually is actually solid to keep the foot in place.

But yea, I am, just like you, wondering if, when I go for expensive lifting shoes, whether or not I want a heel or not.

Never really have anything happen that indicates that I need heels, but then again, maybe I am simply not aware.
