What do you do to de-stress /fit/? I have been pissed with the people around me lately and I find that in order to not pounce on anyone or end up telling them to commit suicide I'm resorting to binge eating. Today I ate like half a kilo of chocolate, now I'm nauseous and my head hurts. Last week I ate 4 cheeseburgers in a row. I don't even remember tasting it, just angrily shoving it down my gullet until I was sick. I already gained 8kg since January doing stupid shit like this, this is surely no way to live. So what else can I do? How do I stop this

Weed and lifting.

A nicely rolled joint and some dank music is the best thing for chilling when shit gets too real, aside from angrily setting some new PR's.

I had to stop lifting for about a month and realized I was getting pissed off at fucking everything. Was able to start again a few months ago and realized that lifting weights is a great outlet for stress. It had been helping me keep my anger in check all these years. So unless you are already weight lifting I would suggest that.

I pretend to be homeless in the heavily Russian neighborhood nearby. They pick up bums and pay them to fight each other and place bets. Quite a rush.

Read books. They make you smarter and are great for losing yourself.

If you can get into it, I recommend psychological anime like psycho pass or Tokyo Ghoul and not any weeby shit. DBZ is a must watch for any lifters.

Yeah. I dumpster dive for food sometimes, so I can save money for something else. One night I was also a little high while dumpster diving and group of slavs approached me and said to join them in the bar across the street. Meditate and boxing for me. It's your life brother, shape it into what you want. Don't let people anger you, they are just going about their day, and by the end of the day, it doesn't affect yours anyways. People aren't out to get you, and when your frustrated at them, remember that. When you have pent up anger, either release it at the gym and crush some killer weight, or take a breath and calm yourself. Learn to control your anger, it's your emotion, and has no right dictating your life. Conquer yourself, conquer the world.

I work at a homeless shelter (in a pretty rough area) and I could never imagine this happening. Granted most people here get 90% of their calories from alcohol, so they're far from fit

Physical activity bruh.
Lifting and hiit are excellent fit burning off stress energy for me. Set measurable goals for both the short term and the long term and lift those feels till you're in a more reasonable state of mind. Then lift because it makes you better.

Steady state cardio like long distance swimming and running can be a great way to mull over problems. After a couple of miles/laps problems I'm struggling with often seem to simply unravel and what I need to do often becomes clear.

Alternatively, rolling bjj at a good gym/dojo can be amazing. It'll keep you humble, condition you better than nearly anything, and surround you with some decent human beings. I'm still a noob at this one, but everyone I've met at my gym is great and it has taken my conditioning through the roof.

Gotchu senpai. Just don't give up on it quickly, it takes time and practice like anything. Start with a few minutes before bed or in the morning, and work up from there. I'm non spiritual, but love reading on Buddhism. Their philosophy on life can be really enlightening. I've been practicing the outlook and can't remember the last time I got actually angry or sad, it's been years. Not trying to shill or anything, but I had a short temper and a lot of anger and it really helped me out, so it might be worth a shot for you. Once again, non spiritual but try reading the philosophy, might do somethin for ya. Best of luck brother
