Without hook grip?
I'm deadlifting babby weights and feel really bad because it seems that grip strength is my limiting factor. I don't want to use mixed grip and hook grip hurts like a motherfucker.

Regular double overhand, yeah. Grip seems to be a problem for a lot of people. Hook grip isn't comfortable but sometimes I don't want to deal with the pain so I'll grab straps and use those or even do over/under.

DOH deadlifts, light deadlift assistance like SLDL for at least one set.
That's what works for me. No grippers, no farmer carries etc
