Sry but I ask here because owg is in general where the knowledge is:
(actually did wl until I fucked up, so semi related)

I dont know shit about nutrition and I have come to ask thee for advice:

I want to lose fat from my last bulk. Currently at around 20% bf. I dont really count anything except protein and total kcal intake.

I have heard lowering carbs is the easiest / most efficient way to go about losing some fat.
Can I still do volume training for size?
Do I replace carbs with fats? Nuts, avocado, shit like that? Already halved last weeks portion size of rice and pasta by half. Feels like I could do alot more.

Low carb diets are very effective for losing fat as a starting point if you don't care about muscle. Do it with muscle and you won't have the energy to push or pull the same weights and thus lose more than necessary muscle in the process.

C+J - (120/1)2, (125/1)2, 130. Overpulled the shit outta 135 and lost it forwards, had that delicious Eleiko knurling scrape the skin off my forearm from wrist to elbow, so I left it there.

Squat - 145/3, 155/3, 166 for 1kg post injury PR

Clean Deadlift - 160, 170, 180, 190 singles for a strapless PR.

Current competition bests are 105/130. Was thinking about 106/111/115 and 127/132/137 as my attempts.

Bodyweight currently a mere 87kg rip.

Australia pays some of its athletes a stipend indirectly (its the national body paying them, not the government) and/or gives free access to training facilities, coaching and such. How much depends on the sport.

Weightlifting is not one of the sports under the main program.

Maybe don't hang out with crossfitters. You can't expect to get good form with cross fit coaches. Also, practice makes perfect. Drills, do drill, every day, until you're so sick of them you want to puke.

Lifters in USA who are good will live off it. Not a good living. But take for example the world team at the OTC. Free food. Free accommodation. Then there's teams like mdusa who pay their lifters from a private backer.

It's a shitty wage, and they will all coach/seminars to suppliment. It's very unlikely any are holding down full time jobs while training at that level though.

In the UK at team GB, the men have 0 funding now from sport UK who fund athletes. The women do, and its purely because the women are legit medal hopefuls on the European/commonwealth stage and possible A groupers in world's and Olympics. That's why most the male team GB will be coaching as a job whereas most of the girls don't need to. It's not a good wage though for the girls.

Most athletes in all sports that dont have much of a 'salary' do get perks like free suppliments', clothing, food, sometimes even cars etc. My friend knows an Olympic gold medalist rower who when he was competing got paid very little but had a BMW, rolex, flights etc all free. He makes way more money now he's retired doing after dinner speeches.

Ok so started today. Coach has given me no routine just yet and basically I'm just doing drills for technique until I get in a few months.

I can go 3-5x a week, do you recommend any routines I can do that will maybe prepare me for oly a lot more? Some thing squat focused and back? And something for a little size?

The barbell I use to squat is really shitty and is now like one of those texas powerlifter barbells that are intentionally bent or whatever. Also it doesn't spin+super stiff.

It sort of fucks up my squats. So I need a new barbell. Until then I can to fs in my garage with my deathtrap jerk stands.

Maybe add some pulls. Maybe.

if its in front delt you tore your labrum

those things dont heal on their own, you can try rehab but you wont be able to lift without pain unless you have surgery on it

most people have their labrum torn, that's where the shoulder pain comes from. if you're a normal person strengthening rc muscles would be enough to make the pain go away, if you plan on lifting and competing better save up for the surgery. recovery takes about 4 months to about a year

donovan ford had his shoulder repaired 75% of it torn and he was back in 4 months, david garcia as well idk about the stats or how long he was out but i think it's the same time as donovan

i think they're both close to 170 snatch now a year after the surgery

RDL/SLDL versions of those pulls
High pulls, panda pulls, 1st pulls, those all help if done with 6-8 sets of 1-3, maybe for a single heavy set and then 3-4 back off sets. Pull-ups and Back Extensions too.
