Absolutely, within reason.

I started at 216-lbs and dropped to 163-lbs as of this morning. My original TDEE was someplace around where you are at, so I decided to do -1000kcal deficit and it was pretty manageable without getting too hungry. That's 2-lbs per week, so by the end of the month you are down 8-lbs.

-1000kcal deficit was fine for me until I got to like 185-lbs, then I started getting pretty hungry dropping that fast so I switched to a -750kcal deficit which kept the loss still fast, but, able to give me some little snacks.

Once I got to 175, or maybe a bit lower, I switched to -500kcal deficit for one pound per week. I've been doing that all the way to 163-lbs where I am now. I sometimes get hungry but overall this rate is managable for me. I may slow it a bit as I get closer toward by goal if I get hungry too often.

The thing is as you drop you'll require less and less food so you get hungry less often. It's just important to re assess your appetite and goals every 5-lbs or so. Also listen to your calorie plan and not your eyes, because I was so used to seeing big portions it felt like I wasn't eating much but I was getting full nevertehless. There is a bit of a visual change on your plate when you drop a bunch of weight that takes some getting used to. If I ate my old quantities I'd be sick but they still seem like the normal amount. Eat slow, there is lots of lag between feeling full and being full. Like 15 minutes or something. So stop eating a bit before you feel full.

The plate trick is the hardest part for me since I live with my family that is very traditional. Basically, in my culture we all eat in one big bowl of food. :/
Me demanding my mother give me my food in my own plate is unthinkable. I'd move out but that too is complicated in this culture.
My mother actually gets upset if I don't eat a lot and assumes I didn't like her food or I ate out.

As far as your mom, fat people tend to try to make people who want to get thin feel bad about it. Be assertive and tell your mom "I love the food, but for my own health I'm dropping weight."

I've been trying to lose weight, finally made it to 112 at 5'4, but it looks like I'm only dropping from my upper body so my hips and thighs still look massive. Im hoping if I drop down to 100 or 95, they might finally start slimming down

I'm almost exactly the opposite.
I once got down to 110 at 5'8 because I was going through a phase where I hated having boobs and wanted ot get rid of them because I love flat girls.

Was still a full D cup....didn't work at all...

I would so glady trade you because I love how pear shapes look skinny.

Currently I gained because it's literally been 5 years since I was that skinny and I'm trying to get down to like 120-130 from 155.
I have a pretty good thigh gap already at this weight.

Oh jeez, will 10-15 pounds be enough then? I mean, my hips are a good 10-12 inches bigger than my waist while my chest is only about 4 inches bigger. It looks really ridiculous, like a fat blob with a thick stick poking out of it.

I want a very slim, dainty figure, but the fact my thighs and hips won't budge and it's really discouraging. Naaaah. I felt like a lollipop.
I can't find any good pictures because none of the full body pics I have at that weight show my chest well, but like my legs felt too skinny.
And like I had really prominent collar bones so it looked weird and I didn't like it.

Larger thighs look nicer because it's spread out.
Also easier to find clothes.
The main problem I have/had is that my waist, hips, and chest, are all really different clothing sizes and losing weight just exaggerated it.

So I was wearing a size 0 or 2 in pants and I still wore a medium or large in shirts. But the shirt would be really huge around my arms and waist.

what weight are you at in the first picture? yeah I think with your breast size probably better to be in that 120 range, especially if you found going lower it didn't make them much smaller.

some of this is finding the weight we look best at, which isn't always 90-lbs.

In the first pic I was prob 110-115.
I didn't really like going that low because of being constantly cold also. My tips of my fingers turned blue. Wasn't worth it.

I've seriously thought of it.
But the expense...
Would be over 10k for a decent surgeon and I couldn't get insurance to cover because I'm literally juuuuust under the minimum size to get covered for medical reasons.(30G is what I am currently)
Also danger of losing sensitivity and not being able to breast feed if I decide to have kids.
So it's just not worth it.

Currently I'm maintaining an average daily calorie count of 1,000. Lots of fruit, lots of tea. Not that bad. Don't want to go under 1,000 to lessen muscle loss.

Which is the same I did years ago to go from 130 to 110.

Gonna start to do strength exercises in my uni's gym starting tomorrow.
I just started getting serious about trying to lose weight last week so haven't noticeably lost any weight yet. Maybe I've lost a pound.

You might want to eat a bit more calories until you get to 130, then to go 1000. It'll make it more pleasant I think.

Regarding slow weight loss, when you first start things are always weird. I'd say by next week you'll really start dropping fast. If you start strength training it might lag a bit also, because you'll get some inflammation and hold some extra water until your body gets used to things.

I figured 2,000kcal, so now I eat like 1500kcal daily to drop a pound a week. I calculate my TDEE figuring I'm sedentary, which I'm not completely, so from 185-163 I've actually lost more than a pound a week on average.

Either way, 1500-1600kcal was very doable without being starving hungry. I don't think I'll go below 1500kcal, instead I'll just drop at a slower rate.

Large hips are a feminine trait, you look great naked. Narrower frames are given to those who are taller, although my wife is 5 foot 9 and she has large hips (not that I complain, AT ALL lol).

Hm, not sure. I'll probably just add like 250kcal to my diet to slow the rate of dropping weight to a pound every other week, and see how my body reacts. If I'm not hungry and can maintain a -250kcal diet, losing 2lbs every month, that'd be pretty cool. I doubt I'd go to my maintenance TDEE because I'd be too afraid of gaining.

Anyone here eat out a lot?

It's so hard to visualize how much quantity is on the plate for me. I've gotten better at it, but I'm almost very unsure.

For example, ordered a two egg omlette today with a side of oatmeal rather than the bagel it comes with. Using MyFitnessPal two egg omelette comes out at 135kcal to 200kcal, depending on which I select. I went with 200kcal. Oatmeal, plain, also ranged a ton per cup... from 100kcal to 200kcal.

I ended up just calling the omelet 360kcal and the oatmeal another 150kcal, but MFP says it would be less for how filling it was.

I would post a naked picture but I think someone could recognize me.

My belly is only 100% flat when I take laxatives and have an empty stomach. Since this is unsustainable, I just take them three days in the week, have once decent meal (vegan), soy milk and maybe a vegan healthy dessert. Then I only chew and spit (sweets or unhealthy crap) and when I have patience or time, I exercise with cardio or focus on thighs and abs.

I also drink a lot of coffee and water, as well as avoid anything 2h before going to sleep.

Just writing all this down to help anyone who want tips.

I am 1,52m (yes, very short), and I suppose I am 40-41kg. I don't use the scale for such a long time due to the trauma that came with my anorexia. I used to weight me every single day, and every single day I almost had a heart attack when I climbed it.

Despite still following a -not as strict as before- diet, I refuse to use the scale. I am tired of wasting my time counting numbers, I am tired of snapping after gaining 1kg.

I advise you to tell your boyfriend about your situation. I told everything about my issues to the person I am with. Well. Your choice.

I only ''keep track'' or my body checking my shoulders, collarbone, thigh (I don't have a full thigh gap due to my body shape, but I don't want the space I have to disappear), belly (I like to see my hip bones when turning around) and close my hands (which are very small) around my wrists.

I am lucky to have my dad's body shape. He is very skinny, has skinny shoulders and only has a prominent belly because he doesn't take care of himself.

Just don't become what I was two years ago. Be sick, just... Not that sick.

My family is naturally slim, but my mother became "plump" after having kids. I'm not planning on having children, but it still worries me that it might just come with age. I'm not young anymore, 25.
It's really awkward admitting I'm watching my weight when all my life I've been eating crap every day and it's never made a difference.

Dude what. Anorexia isn't /fa/ and robbing your body of actual nutrition is a great way to make yourself feel even more shit which in turn can fuel eating disorders, which in turn is gonna fuck your life up.

Not really sure. What about taking a multi vitamin? Not too much or they'll know something is up, but, just a bit over a regular dose.

On top of that eat your TDEE until the blood test, which is likely something like 1600kcal. You won't gain weight doing that, you'll just maintain. Then continue on as usual after.

I'm not saying low BMI is going to kill anyone. Low BMI and no nutrition is. If you want to stay skinny as fuck and still feel good, you just gotta stay right at or below the amount of calories your body needs to function everyday whilst keeping a close eye on your nutrition intake.

I'm at a pretty low BMI myself and used to have people tell me to just "have another cinnamon roll, you need it". What I'm saying is that there's a reasonable, non-stupid way of staying skinny and by extension; /fa/.

You don't understand the disease of anorexia at all. Once you get to a low enough scale weight your brain chemistry is fucked and you will never be satisfied at any weight due to underlying depression ( anorexia and depression / OCD are diagnosed together pretty much always). Once you cross a certain line you need hospitalization, forced re-feeding (nasal tube) and medication to get back to a healthy weight. Hopefully by then the hair growth and hormonal imbalances haven't left you barren or permanently damaged.

Wanna know the least /fa/ place in the world?

Yeah I suppose it varies a lot depending on the person. I find myself getting hella tired of specific food (like pizza) for a week or so after I've had it, so it comes pretty naturally.

You should still eat enough during the weekdays to get satisfied though, otherwise your splurge day just becomes tied to quenching that hunger which in turn might make you overeat (which is bad if you're trying to lose weight, otherwise it doesn't matter). There's plenty food out there with little calories that's still filling.
