The rack

>room looks empty without additional closet and too full with one

Yeah, that's about it. Rack for jackets, shirts and suits. Closet for anything else.

Rack for my coats/jackets to prevent them from getting smelly when I don't wear them for whole season and for easy access
Rack. When I use closets, things just tend to get lost in that abyss.
Rack. Easier access to the outfits I wear each season, plus the rack can look like great room decor if your wardrobe displayed isn't shit

Yeah I have those, but I got them only after it was too late. Had to deal with a shitty moth infestation for months until I found the source to be my roomates closet.
