hay /fa/ i want to build a capsule wardrobe, but i don't know how to start, how many items should i get, what type of shoes are the most versatile.
Also in my country the weather is warm and i have a budget of 500 dollars, what do /fa/gs.?

starting off you're going to need to buy a decent amount of tees, buy single colors like black and white. do not buy anything with a graphic on it only clean basic tees.
you're going to need a pair of black jeans this where you shouldn't go bare bones cheap. get something like naked and famous or acne if you can afford it, they're versatile and can go with almost any fit.
for shoes you're going to want to buy something without branding don't buy something that people will easily be able to recognize like nike, puma any of that shit. once again you're going for a clean unadulterated aesthetic. its up to personal preference what you get, I'd recommend something black or white and simplistic for example damir doma silent silas or frank and oak low.
keep lurking and eventually you'll refine your fashion sense and know what looks best on you.
just don't spend a shit ton of money on something before you have a wardrobe to support it

get a pair of black, dark blue and light blue jeans
get oxford or regular shirts in solid colors, like navy blue, wine, dark green, etc, a polka dot shirt and a stripped one, a floral shirt would be good too
get monochrome converse (all white or all black), a pair of 1461 docs would be good too (they go with anything and will last you a couple years), get some boots too (chelsea would be nice)
dress shoes from zara (they're pretty good)

i own multiple pairs of cp achilles and multiple pairs of margiela gats.
on one pair of my gats the leather quality is identical to my cps. on the other pair the leather is a step down. so it really depends on the season and style.

If you decide to go full minimalfag, I suggest you give yourself a max. number of items (that will include shoes but not underwear and socks) that you'll have in your capsule wardrobe.
Stick to solid colors and neutral tones (google search basic color palettes) the point of a capsule wardrobe is having enough pieces to mix and match without having to buy anything "especially" to make an outfit work.
On your budget, H&m for basics and Zara. Acne for items that need to last a bit longer.
From my experience, dr martens tend to be a lasting investment, get the 1461 to go with anything.

If you're on a budget get cheap basics like t-shirts but it's also important to have a bit more expensive shoes, sweater or jacket.
Something that will make the fit more interesting.
And how clothes fit is the key.
If you buy something that's wrong size it's gonna look like shit either way.
