That roughness you're describing is probably more related to your heavy hand when washing sweats than the actual fabric. Cold water, gentle cycle, laundress or trader Joe's or Method detergent, tumble dry low
My Camber shirts weren't pre washed or treated with any kind of chemical softener and it has taken a year to soften them, but that's not entirely related....just the only clothes I own that were rough even new with tags

Hey guys. I'm going to a wedding at the end of July and I don't know what to wear. The problem is that the groom and his friends consider a blazer to be really really formal, that's what's screwing me up. I don't want to show up the groom. I can't really see any of the groom's friends wearing a suit. His social circle (and family for that matter) isn't very formal when it comes to these kinds of events. first off, Common Projects are just plain white sneakers, basics. they will not go out of fashion in a long time.
They have a stylish silhouette and design, but most of all you are paying for the quality with them.
/fa/ is pretty much primarily about streetwear, so I'd advise just to lurk here and try to seek out stuff that doesn't seem weird or tryhardy.
to start with:
tops: T-Shirts, hoodies, sweaters, casual shirts (OCBDs can be worn casually too)
bottoms: chinos in neutral colors, jeans. very casual fits can have joggers and sweatpants
shoes: sneakers
just remember that even if you dress in basics, you will look good (not out of place, good) if your clothes fit you and the colors match.
though with streetwear you should refrain from doing autistic #menswear-style hue matching
that easily makes you look dressy which is opposite of what you are requesting
instead you could try colors of different saturation and add different hues to accent.

yes, but not like they are in pic. The best ones I've seen are linen mandarin collared shirts, usually in a solid color. The way the contrast on that collar looks really fucks with the fit. It looks tiny and insignificant, leading to a jarring detail
