no, Rick's pods are the name of a style of mainline shorts. the cut is pretty much the same as my drkshdw shorts. the detailing is different. the materials they come in are different. they're the style that rick owens wears (you can tell by the name)
the pair of rick's pods i have are made of a thick cotton (i think it's called twill?), almost like canvas. so when you wear them, they keep the "big shorts" pod silhouette very well instead of falling flat against your leg like the drkshdw ones.

also I'm not entirely sure but I think mainline is longer than drkshdw
Tbh, I kinda dislike the whole stigma surrounding drkshdw, I feel like people treat it as almost like a knockoff brand, unfit to be compared to mainline

What the fuck are you on about? No one fucking cares if its mainline or drkshdw. Literal no one. There isnt a difference in quality. They are just different conceptually with Drkshdw being more ready to wear and mainline being more avant garde. The focus on fabrics is different as well, drkshdw tends to not have the luxe that mainline does. Now if you were to say, compare a stigma of diffusion lines like 11 compared to bbs then that would make since. Because 11 is fuccboi central and bbs mainline is decent.

Yeah, it's mainline. One of the sized ones rather than the one size ones - I've tried on an OS one before and I think it was a little less dramatic actually, in terms of length.
Also, this is a small, and I could probably stand to go to an XS.
But overall, I'm quite happy with it. It's incredibly well tailored, it doesn't really flare out anywhere despite all the extra fabric.
