Try something from Arc'Teryx then. Unfortunately they've shifted to bright colors (which is good for alpinism I guess) and their Veilance Line is expensive as all hell. Look at the Beta LT or Alpha SL depending on your protection needs

I feel like there is too much color in this wardrobe.
First off, most of all, fuck LEAF, law enforcement, armed forces, and the earnest fetishization of "tactical" as the pinnacle of human and equipment excellence.
Second, fuck the idea that how much your clothing closes you off from the world is a measure of how sophisticated or well-developed or technical it is, this "only weather resistant stuff," as if not being rained on was the only important thing. The people this stuff were developed for didn't want to not get rained on as an end in itself - they wanted to not get rained on because as they threw themselves into flooding forests and dripping ice they wanted to stay dry enough to stay alive and keep going. They had a purpose beyond rubbing cum on the inside of a membrane.
Third, fuck the related kind of purism that acts as if cotton clothing can't be functional, or satisfying, or technical, or somehow pertain to the kind of stuff people go to techwear threads to talk about. If you're bored by some particular clothing, fine, post something you're actually interested in. The best way to see the kind of space and discussion you want is to make it instead of complaining. Yes, that applies to me, too, but fuck it.

I wear all of my stuff in the great outdoors as well as in the city, and I would have to say that the Torrentshell is one of the better options available right now. Sierra Trading Post is a nice stop to find things like this, as well as better stuff from Marmot and Arc'teryx for good prices.
