Personally I just use mine at home. My hair gets kind of fucked when I wear them too long and they're just too impractical unless I carry a backpack maybe.

they are pretty fedora but as long as you only wear them when you are actually listening to music and take them off (dont walk around with them around your neck if you have no intention of using them) then its tolerable
