So I've had a weird, almost receding-looking hairline since I've been born, and am constantly struggling with what to do with it. I've been experimenting for the last couple years with classic men's cuts to get away from my kid-ish dry parted hair. Picture is my hair when it's not done, my hairline, and my hair put up. Tell me what to do! Additional info: I'm a dad and husband in his early twenties and have been trying to up my game a little bit to actually look like an adult and prefer classic men's hair.

Minoxidil does work on the hairline. I would recommend against using it though as it could actually make things far worse. It is well known to cause a 'shed' period of up to a year that may even turn out to be permanent, and if you do have good results but then stop using it your hair can fall out to worse than before. There's a reason why it's not considered a miracle cure. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I think your hair looks great in the top one.

I think I started shedding at 19, and it stopped at like 21 or 22. If it is of any comfort to you I'm 24 now and I still have the same hairline, no more shedding either

I've been on it since August and my hairline is already looking healthier and I swear my hair strands are getting a tad bit thicker, which helps. I have the same thing, just cut it short and fluff up the top while leaving some hair to fall down on the edges to cover the bald area.
