I don't remember what type of discussion brought me to the topic, but it was a few months ago.
I was talking about making money off of MMD animations, starting a patreon, all this jewy bullshit.
Someone in the thread pointed out that no one would want to watch my shit if it was just for the sake of patreon.
Your videos should be so kickass and good that people WANT to donate money to you because of how good they are.
They shouldn't just be donating to patreon because "he'll stop making videos if I don't".
The same thing applies to these stupid fucking secret communities.
If someone leaks your videos, they obviously thought it was so good that it should be shared.
Maybe the author didn't think so, or maybe he has some other reason, but you should respect that people like your work enough to think more people than are in the secret club should be seeing it.
You shouldn't fucking "stop making videos because someone shared them", and the whole idea of secret communities is fucking stupid from an artist's standpoint.
You're making shit so that you can share it with the world, so you can get good AND bad criticism, not create a fucking hugbox where everyone praises your videos.
If you aren't able to take criticism, you won't improve, and honestly your work probably isn't worth the amount of shit you're going through to make it private.
Obviously there are exceptions, like when modelers/animators could actually get in trouble with the law for making whatever they're making, because of the stupid fucking jap laws, but for everything else there's no excuse.

I'll give you that.
It takes a lot of patience and time to develop the skillset, but I still don't think it's necessarily *difficult*, since literally anyone has the capability to pick it up, and if they're patient enough, will eventually master it.
But I guess that applies to a lot of hobbies as well, so I'm lost for a rebuttal here.
I guess I just don't like how modelers/animators seem to have this big superiority complex ego problem, where they believe everyone should suck their dicks because they can move verts around.
3D is hardly a prestigious enough school of study to deserve that kind of praise.
I see it a lot in mmd communities, and other 3d places as well that deal with character modeling.
Especially since modeling is more of a technical skill than a creative one.

Hello I have 4 different MMD models for Ryuko from Kill la Kill that I acquired online. They are all different versions of the J&J edit, V2, V3, V3.2, and V6.5. So far only the version 3 is being recognized by my program. Does anyone know why that would be?
