The problem is that different sets of DLC mods can confirm and cause your game to crash.
The way to avoid that is to learn how to convert TMC to DLC and insert your own mods

To give you a bit of insight, the majority of characters have 40 costume slots.
If two DLC costumes have the same slot, the game will crash when you try to select that slot.
You're safe right now because you have so little costumes (relatively). If, for an example, you decide to get more Marie mod costumes, the new costumes might take up the same slot, and the game will crash.
So, the more mod costumes you get, the more likely you will be forced to learn to work with TMC>
