So I'm circuit bending a simple sfx toy, sure enough the resistor in [pic related] can be swapped out for a pot to modify the pitch. The lower ohms, the higher pitch. Naturally, I then figure higher ohms means lower pitch: nope. It's like the further I get away from 330k ohms (or whatever value the resistor on the board actually is) the higher the pitch, regardless if ohms increase or decrease. What gives, /diy/?

Shit, nevermind I figured it out: didn't bother to physically remove the old resistor so any new ones I tested were always in parallel with the old one.
