I don't get it and honestly don't think it can capture the appeal of the genre much. When the topic is sight gags based on cartoon hijinks, framing it as a prepared article where people talk about their thoughts on it tends to dampen all the spontaneity and wackiness out of it.
Occasionally a magazine will have an interview or article on a fictional character as a novelty, but only if they have enough jokes or interesting points to make it worthwhile. So it's mostly up to what jokes you can bring to the table... but I don't think it's a good match.

I don't know. It seems to me that trying to make it seem like a magazine might not be worth it when you could focus more on the compilation aspect, but with the conceit that it's all supposed to be in a world where TF is common/accepted.
the one way I see of taking advantage of emulating a magazine is if you put in a lot of illustrations. Some standing on their own (ads, the cover, etc.) and some that are related to what's written.
It seems like an ambitious idea, which I like, but stuff like this has to be proven before I can really get excited about it.

It's meant to be more of a focused compilation aspect yes than a magazine. The magazine is more of a backdrop, something to set the general theme in work in the compilation.
Hopefully we can get writers and illustrations to collaborate together on some stuff. But the main focus is that the content parodies what's seen in actual hobby magazines as >>6907045 said.
(It's not meant to be monthly thing. More of a one time thing that might even be yearly if it's received well-enough.)

It's a shape change even more commonly shown than inflation so it ended up with a lot of fetishists.
The only way you're going to draw attention from it is by convincing people the stuff you're into is hotter. But people might see it as unappealing as flattening is to you. Like stretchy limbs, a lot of this is pretty arbitrary after all.

I just want somewhere we can pop into without hassle and discuss ideas and art and stuff related to shape change. Not a forum thread, because those are horrible for casual chatting, but a proper messenger. With a way of doing PMs so the main chat is not flooded with roleplay 24/7.
IRC is a great choice for that. Skype may be better because of how it actually saves the chat history so you won't miss anything overnight (including images) but it requires an account. Anyone got an existing channel to recommend, or willing to set up a skype group?
also IRC is as easy as entering a server and creating a channel in it. Which is literally just /join #channelname, and the creator gets admin rights in that channel.
if I wanted to have admin rights i'd do it, but I am bad at moderating stuff.

I'm most certainly in favour of a Skype group for the ability to keep history and images and keeping in touch. It's pretty simple to create an anonymous alt account for generally dicking around on and roleplaying if you ain't comfortable with your main for talking about elasticity if that's the case. Although IRC is wonderful for getting straight to the point of things, maybe skype later.
We need a good moderator to get this sort of shizzle off the ground however, no matter what we choose to converse with. otherwise this could be trouble. And we need some rough rules, too.
Finally, we need a good chat name. 'Support Group for the Solidly Challenged' potentially?
