Okay guys, I've followed these threads for a while. I have extensive history in Game Maker (nothing super capable but does make fairly good 2D games)
I've played a lot of /d/ themed games and the ones like Parasite In City, LAB Still Alive, FOBS and those sorts really hit a spot for me.

There's usually at least one glaring issue I didn't find while playtesting that gets reported and hotfixed right away. Then I address bugs as they come in. If there are enough to justify a patch and I have the time to push one out, you get a later patch like this.

I've got some vague ideas for a text game I want to try to work on, but I still need to figure out specifics.
The basic idea is that you somehow have influence over a class at a school, and over time, you can slowly "corrupt" the class by getting everyone hooked on different fetishes and so on through various events. Everything would be tracked for each character (fetishes, sexuality, arousal, etc.), and these stats would determine random events that happen throughout the day. Early game, characters might sneak off to fuck, spy on the showers, etc., and possibly late on, if everyone met the right requirements, the class might end up in a giant orgy. I would probably start off with a limited number of students, and maybe a couple of teachers/faculty.
I'm still trying to figure out the details and get it to a scope that might be manageable. I'm messing around with Twine at the moment to figure out what I'm capable of. I probably won't get much done, but it's at least fun to brainstorm up some ideas.

There's a CSS style sheet that I'm setting shit up in, and part of that involved setting a hex colour to be applied over text. I picked #e300ff because it shows up well against the background(default black?). To my understanding, once you've set something like

Someone please explain to me how you get a working game file out of Twine.
Any attempt I make at editing then saving Free Cities to a file through Twine fails. If I open the new file, nothing happens.
I've had to resort to using Sublime text to edit the actual game, which is getting interesting and somewhat annoying. Text eidtors render Twine's quotation marks as " and any attempt to replace those with actual quotation marks causes complete failure.

Late response; I like grindy H-rpgs if the mechanics are solid, I enjoy getting of to bad-ends as well because legitimate defeats are always better than the luke-warm victory scene you get from spamming attack button. Sadly, both satisfying mechanics that feed into eroticism and game losses at the end of a valiant struggle are all too rare due to a lack of good game design. Given the nature of the slave bodyguard, I'm trying to strike a balance between provocative and protection, usually erring towards provocative, hence my plan for a Roman bodyguard to wear musculata with well-defined tits and a super-short tunic.

Actually to be perfectly honest, I'm using the web version of Twine2, so I have to live with this little button for Harlowe/Snowman/Sugarcube down the bottom, and see it change out of the corner of my eye every time I swap between my own work and the things I'm ripping apart for knowledge.
