Whichever site it was, I remember going to register, but there being a message about how they only wanted "serious" members, or some such. The admin requested either a one time "deposit" of something like $5 (which he would supposedly manually return upon his next convenience - it wasn't supposed to be a "charge" as such) to prove you're not just some freeloader ... suspicious as fuck ... or, if you were an artist, an email containing some samples of your work to prove that you'd be contributing to the site's art.
I'm like 95% sure this was The Process, I'm sure I remember them announce that they opened the registration back up after the original owner (Lorekeep?) left ... I've since registered, but I don't think I've ever posted, and I only visit like once or twice a year. Even if I wasn't so skeptical of that initial nonsense, there's just not much going on over there.

Yep, there's still enough going on to warrant a regular visit. Very few of the best artists post their art there anymore though, so it's mostly a matter of digging for the occasional piece of actually-put-effort-into-this artwork.

Minimizer's literally doesn't exist anymore. After years of not really bothering to maintain the site/forum anymore, Min finally tapped out only a month or so ago and stopped paying hosting. It's alllll gone. The remnants of Min's forum are over at the SW Realm forum (which has existed for a year or two now, quite a nice group of folks). And Min now regularly updates his comics on his DeviantART page.
Much of what I do there is roleplaying, with the pics added as a bonus. Consequently they have to be done quickly before the story moves on from what I drew.
Think about it. You get to describe what your character does, and see it happen, along with all the other characters and settings, and it is all free. All the characters in my pics (except Squeaks of doom.) are actual people from the Process.
So who is complaining? Just Lorekeep, because he is no longer capable anything else. (He used to be a really cool guy, I don't know what happened.) The rest of us have loads of fun.

You haven't heard about SizeCon? It has been a pretty big talking point in the various size communities for the last few months.
It was a "size convention" held a few weeks ago in NYC. They got a bunch of content producers together to set up some stalls, run a green screen booth, show off some VR tech, do some real-time collages; they held some panel talks, etc. In the end I think just over 100 people showed up.
From all accounts it was a pretty good event, it sounds like they got an awesome crowd. Lots of people were worried about awkward creeper types showing up, but it doesn't sound like they got anything like that at all. Interesting case study.

Personally, shrinking has always been something I like, but not necessarily something I need. I find it pretty common place in the M/f community amongst men, and I always wondered why. I do have a male friend of mine from the NYC size meetups who loves shrinking ladies more than anything. He told me the reason he likes it, is that the victim is scared and often unaware of when it might stop.

Holy shit, this takes me back. Using the slider at the top to try to find content I remember being around to see posted ... it goes right back to 2002/2003. Makes sense, given that I was stumbling upon all this stuff during early highschool.
Sad to realise that Min's site closed down only in the last month or so. What a legacy, so many of us can trace our online SW roots back there. And what's more of a shame - I'm not sure there is any explicitly SW site to take it's place!

ISW did me in too lol. I had the interest since I was 5 or so, but when I rented ISW (an old movie, even then) for my 10th birthday party, and no one wanted to watch it...I realized my interest might be a bit more unique than I thought. My best friend at the time blindly indulged me for years, playing a GTS (at my suggestion) when we played together. She never complained (maybe because I was a year older = cooler?), so it really took me a while to realize there was anything strange about this interest.

I found some GTS documentary on youtube, I can't recall the title, and thought that this is sort of like my interest. I was enjoying the Giant Women in the film, but all the people being interviewed were men...so I was kind of unsure if this was my fetish or not. I surely had zero interest in taking the female role in this documentary O_O; Eventually it came to a part where a man said he used dolls to play out his GTS fetish. Visually, it was a guy playing with a bunch of barbies, so in my head, that solidified it - tiny girls and giant person! I thought that was also a GTS fetish :P

I was worried the content I was making wouldn't appeal to the masses...especially since most of what I was seeing online when I joined the community was F/m. No kiddin? Good to know hes still unvolved with the community. Granted, I haven't kept my ears too close to the ground when it comes to the shrinking community. Used to be around on the forums, but lost interest in most of the content there, although I do check into these threads a bit. Theres also the occasional 'little ladies' threads on /co/ which are pretty fun.
