I'd just like to have a sort of general discussion about muscle growth as a fetish.
Honestly, the ideal for me has always been stuff that has an air of friendly competition between two subjects. I like both parties to have comparable strength and for there to be some kind of wrestling or other test of strength involved to determine who gets to be on-top (no fun if the girl OR guy is always superior XP). Some other aspects I like are when the subject(s) have an innate ability to go from normal size to a more muscular physique but they treat it as just an everyday thing. With a guy or girl, it implies more of an inner-strength kind of thing where the ability doesn't really affect their moral fiber (i.e. they don't suddenly become a jerk when bigger). It's a tool which they can use to their advantage, but it doesn't change who they are inside. Long story short, I like it when the subject(s) have the ability to become big and strong, and think they should have opportunities to use and enjoy it, but it shouldn't make them into a power-hungry megalomaniac or even the stereotypical meathead jock.
From the purely aesthetic side, I'm more a fan of female mg (I'm a straight guy) that hits bodybuilder level and a little above but not hyper. Definition is key for me and low-medium vein content is a positive. There's also gotta be decent boob content (big pecs don't cut it, there has to be some pillowy softness to balance out the stonework XD) and more pronounced hips are also a plus. Essentially, I like my women to still seem like women, even with some strength added.
On the odd occasion that I am looking at male stuff, and that's often only when I'm seeking visualization inspiration, there's gotta be definition; strong/muscle fat don't do it for me >_<'.

I prefer growth to either be permanent, or simply a result of flexing. The idea of that size not being the girl's base-line kills it for me a little, because it's the idea of the girl's ability, and not just the fact she's muscular, that really gets me going. Korra's size (& shape) will eternally be that realistically possible section of my overarching femuscle fetish that will never fail to tickle my fancy. I think I generally agree with you on the other aesthetics as well (for me, larger than FBB mostly depends on the artist, hence all the Minamo21 and Zetarok pics XP).
I guess the key for me, regarding the "baseline" as you called it, is a tad more dependent on where the girl started. I get more turned on by the growth aspect than the muscle and strength alone chiefly because it offers a nice before/after effect; it makes the end product feel more like an achievement if there was some metaphoric journey beforehand. This is also why instantaneous or even some quick growth often aren't to my liking. Sure, there should be a decent pace, but it's kinda like comparing going through really good foreplay to just getting in, getting the business done, and getting out. Far more fun to see how the growth is experienced than to just have it be there. However, I will say that so long as the "before" exists, if the subject of the growth keeps her results afterward it's still a major turn on for me.

Depends on my mood. Mini GTS is the sweet spot I always enjoy, and I generally like 20-30ft. Any bigger is for special moods.
Still, some things kill it just the same. I picked up Seven Deadly Sins when I saw my friend watching it, for pic related, thinking "Oh boy, cute giant girl is the strongest of the protagonists!" and hoping she would have a badass part in large battles.
The reality killed it. She has a crush on the main character because he treated her like a damsel in distress once. She was only of use in the first battle she was seen in by grabbing and throwing the enemy after MC fought him. She went to sleep shortly before the rest of the group fought a demon in the largest-scale battle up to that point. Sat idly by while two other members wrecked a castle. Her main use was throwing people miles away so she could sit by uselessly while the action happened where they landed. The one time she was legitimately pretty badass was when she was shrunken down to regular size. And the one battle where she used her ultimate attack, the first hit achieved nothing, and the second not only did nothing, but the opponent BLOCKED it. And then she proceeded to get shot twice by energy beams and sit helplessly by while the MEN of the group fought all around her. Seriously, there were at least 20 fights in this 24-episode anime, and she only had a major role in 3, two of which she achieved nothing in!

Here is another question for you in the thread. What do you prefer to have as a trigger for the growth of the girl if any? Provided it is visible and not achieved slowly and gradually so that it is not visible on the spot.

An interesting question. I guess the trigger (if any) that I prefer WOULD be something on the sexual end. Hell, I already have an OC who I used in a tabletop RP campaign where that is the case. Essentially, in this RP, each of the PCs had a lust stat which would rise either due to things that would specifically cause an increase (arousal gas, tentacles with slime that caused such a reaction, etc.) or if they encountered their specific turn-on (my PC's was getting wet... with water XP). Personally what attracts me to this fetish is mostly the domination aspect, so when a character gets superhumanly strong and then doesn't use that power selfishly, it doesn't do anything for me. I like the growth aspect, but I want to see them use their strength, abuse their power, show off how much better they are than everyone else, and revel in becoming even more powerful. The more powerful they become, the better.
Here's a new topic for discussion. Anyone around here like there to be a sort of inner-struggle for the character going through the muscle growth? Think of it in terms of not just a Hulk scenario but also possible inner demon type thing or even just coming to grips with the increase in strength and power and choosing ultimately to use it responsibly or irresponsibly.
Call me an idealist, but I actually find the subject overcoming the temptation to abuse their power as pretty damn sexy. It proves that they're strong not just physically, but mentally as well. They can overcome the inner struggles just as well as the outer ones. Long story short, they end up feeling less like a fling or a master to a smaller lover and more a trustworthy long-term relationship.

I kind of address that sort of thing in a few of my stories. In particular, in my Mizuki series (aptly named... Mizuki), the protagonist is a young woman turned vampire who drains those she feasts on. Thing is, she doesn't want to feast on the innocent, so she becomes a vigilante, targeting criminals.
The act of obtaining more power is incredibly intoxicating though, so she has to juggle the subconscious desire to become an unstoppable muscle goddess who feasts on everyone with her human side.
In general, most of my stories feature women who outstrip their men in every possible way, but still stick around. It's honestly incredibly unrealistic (pretty sure that in real life Kelly would've ditched Brian a while ago for example), but I can definitely understand why a lot of readers prefer the nicer stories like that.

For a story perspective it is good that you stick to it instead of just introducing tons of new characters. Fetish stories should really be light reads, while having a plot and other character stuff can always make it richer but keeping with the same male character offers are more easy to identify point of view to the readers.
Here's a topic that will probably garner a bit more answers: what is everyone's preference between size and definition? Are you more a person that likes to see a physically bigger subject in growth art or do you care more about the overall figure of the subject? Perhaps a mix of both?
With me, size has always been second to definition. Being able to see the individual muscles stretched tight against the skin just makes me think "I'd want to feel that". I'm also not such a big fan of the muscle-gut or strongfat (which I know I've said before XP). To a similar degree, I'm also not a big fan of hyper either.

Yeah, I think there's a definite balance to be struck. There are a lot of stories (some very acclaimed) that are written on a Stephen King level (That is to say, clean, simple prose that could get published - no James Joyce, but definitely better than 90% of online fiction), and while I respect them immensely, they're frankly too boring for me.
A novella's worth of words in which there's one (or no) growth spurt, and instead just a bunch of feats of strength, and 'character development' is just downright boring for me.
On the flip side, some will argue that some of my stories need more action and less growing.

I have this thing for a sort of reversed situation.
Where the girl has the ultimate power potential inside from from the start. Somehow she knows that her power will keep growing almost infinitely and unstoppably no matter what. She is like a walking doomsday scenario, eventually her body will grow too powerful and her growth will end the universe sometimes in the future but of course the story never gets there.
She however is feels guilty for this destiny, she does not want to become destruction and she wants to prevent/delay it for a s long as she can and live a normal life. She has some conscious control over her strength and she is actually focusing all her power on preventing her growth and slowing it down as much as she can. But as the days go it still becomes apparent that she is still growing bigger slowly but surely. She must not let go, her concentration must not weaken or her body will grow faster and it is actually feels good to let go but she can't. This causes her problems when dealing with her friend/lover etc.
It is basically a tug of war between body and will. However there is absolutely no power corruption at all in this scenario. There is also no requirement for a lot of muscle growth it can be just size in general. Stories can come where she is looking to find ways to help her contain her body or to drain her energy. But eventually all ends in vain, her power and the growth of her body and muscles just overpowers absolutely everything. Or it can come to the point where she cannot hold anymore and just lets go and there is a description on how the world ends.
