See here's the thing, not everyone watches things to your schedule. Some people have only just started watching the show and want to discuss it with other fans here on their favorite board. Not everyone lives in America where the new episodes are released this is the world wide web after all, perhaps some countries have only just begun to broadcast a certain show and again the people who catch it for the first time want to discuss it. I'd say it's a different situation, given that we were allowed to stay around for the weekends despite the long hiatus, whereas /rwby/ was just sent to the trash pile when the hiatus reached a point. Who knows what the /co/ mods are thinking really, trash is always the backup option but threads are super slow there.
Perhaps we'd benefit from a general setup around the release day? So 2 days before and 2 after then just one-point threads until the next cycle. The obvious problem being getting people not to post general threads during those off days.

Well that's a real possibility in canon, so I get where you're coming from. That being said you can have a crush for simple reasons that blossoms into a proper relationship once the two interested parties learn more about each other. I like seeing those kind of relationships develop in any form of media and the interpretation of Marco and Jackie in the story have some positive chemistry, though I do like his and Janna's chemistry more as is at present.

That's the big question in my books after the drama bomb unravels, how will Jackie take what went down? Who will tell her about it, Marco, Hope or possibly even Janna? There's a lot of possibilities to develop the story there, I'm really impressed with how part 5 was handled, simple but effective.

I'd disagree, solidarity in the face of hardships isn't necessarily romantic, it's more commonly associated with close friendship, though not mutually exclusive.
But I get your point, a one off event while inebriated isn't exactly a solid foundation for anything. There's just a lot of stigma around sudden lesbian feelings in any form of media as it's a increasingly common element that just feels poorly done or tacked on for convenience sake.

I do like that 4 day a week setup, perhaps we can try and get that to work. So if there's threads during the non-pre and post general episode days they're just random prompt threads about Star vs. with the title in the name. It'll likely take a while to stick, but it should help sort things out.
The amount of shitposters about seems high at present which has also been a big issue. It used to help having multiple generals so as to disperse said shitposters, but now when there's so little on they just jump on whichever thread is available which sadly seems to be us.

I'm not a lorefag but it was frustrating toward the end of season 1 to watch everyone write off the more plot-building episodes as they happened just because the series opened with a few one-offs (not even that many considering it was just a 13-episode season).
