That's what makes Anderson such a strong and long-lasting character, to me. Her natural compassion and good nature make her a perfect contrast to Dredd and the rest of the judges, while also setting up a ton of internal conflict regarding her own work. How does a good person justify working for monsters? In many ways, she's the strip's voice of consciousness, but her hands aren't spotless either.
