Doesn't change the fact that it was done really well. For a children's cartoon it didn't feel rushed at all. Her progression from hating them, to working with them, to actually becoming friends with them felt very natural. Rather than suddenly caring about everyone for no reason, you can specifically see instances where Steven and the Crystal Gems influence her and leave positive impressions.
