Its one of the things I love about the reboot. The way Zarkon talks about Voltron how he was able to not only take on a lion by himself but pretty much beat him shows that team Voltron is in their infancy. I can't wait to see the become stronger and unlock the full potential of Voltron

What's your favorite episode of this season, anons? Mine's "The Fall of the Castle of Lions" and "Tears of the Balmera". Despite not even involving the Lions or Voltron, it was still one of most tense and interesting parts of the series. Lance is down, the team can't access their lions, and even if they could, one of their members is in critically condition. The whole infiltration, the characters talking about missing their homes, and Pidge's flashbacks were all great. It's too bad they lose that kind of atmosphere later on.

I don't really have any preferred ships, but Lance is probably the only person I could see getting with Pidge.
He has pretty good chemistry with her, and while she gets a lot more development with Shiro, Pidge/Shiro is almost certainly not happening. He's pretty much a dad to the team, and while a surprising number of women may indeed have that fetish, I doubt these guys are willing to drop it in here.
I get the impression either Shiro will end up with Allura or Keith gets pushed toward the princess when he finally gets his character development.

Keith is an Alien, or at part Alien, specifically Galran. He hears voices no one else can hear, is freaked out by Galran Empire's Sigil when he first notices it, activated a Galran interface simply by instinctively putting his hand on its printed surface, is healed by that Galran glowing chemical, and even Zarkon mentions Keith fights like one of his soldiers. My question is how Keith got to where he is, and how it seems Zarkon that doesn't isn't responsible for it.

How much character does he really need? The ones who have the most going on with this is Shiro and his amnesiac gladiator days, Pidge being a brainiac girl who turned boy to find her family. Hunk is just the hungry guy who later took up geology in a sexy way, and Lance is the ladies man who can't get any ladies. Keith is really their hotshot ace who dropped out of fighter pilot school to pursue an early destiny with alien robots felines, which after they FIND the alien robot felines obviously becomes a bit less special.
Still there really isn't too much going on behind most of them. Really Keith is just the standard too cool for school character while Lance just thinks he's too cool for school but routinely finds ways to sabotage himself. Lance is more a serious of running gags with himself as the butt of the joke and then he spends several episodes unconscious.

What if Shiro is never in danger of dying during battle but incurs wounds/poisoning that garantees he'll be dead by the finale or so? That way he's still doomed like the original Shirogane the deathflags are gone since time will take its course. Plus anime loves Ukyo-type characters and he's got the white stress hairs for it.
