Old thread died in the night, but it felt like we had some momentum going so let's try this again.
Previously: Newfags were watching and becoming interested, OC was being created, dub accurate subs were being worked on.
Show is now up on Netflix in both French (but with dubtitles) and English.
Let's get a couple of things out of the way now that are always asked in every thread:

As far as I can tell with my experimentation around here, OP cannot bump a thread with a repeated series of posts. OP's posts do bump after another person has posted, though. I noticed that effect when storytiming in the Tinkerbell thread.
I'm not sure if those bump rules apply to other people making a long series of posts in another's thread, though. I haven't tried storytiming in another thread around here, and don't really have enough LoliRock material to do so here unless you want design sketches from the official tumblr.

I think a rival would be more interesting. We already have three opposing villains, plus the twins sitting in reserve if needed. That's plenty of villains and potential for a big team-up against the girls. Throwing another villain just wouldn't affect things all that much - she'd have some different interaction, sure, but would still be doing basically the same thing. A determined rival, who is passionate at beating Auriana at ANYTHING she does, is going to be a more interesting interaction and gives the team a chance to lose against something other than Gramorr.
Besides, I would suspect that Lyna or Carissa would be more likely to have a villain waiting for them. Hard to say which is more likely. Carissa is super-confrontational and that could be hiding some shame about her family siding with Gramorr, but then again, if the rest of her family is like her then it's unlikely that Calix would've willingly gone along with anything. Lyna is less likely, but her being quiet could be just not wanting anyone else in on a shameful secret. Plus, we know far less about their homelands, while we've seen Xeris and have some knowledge about Volta.

How much do you think the differences in the french and english voice acting changes characterisation?
At first I didn't like Praxina's english voice compared to the french as it sounds like an valley girl...which actually adds more to her personality.
Like Mephisto she comes off as an awkward but legit evil teen which is fun to watch.
Gramor's english voice is however a different story. In french he comes off not just as threatening but kind of ominous, like you do not want to fuck with that guy.
English Gramor is foul tempered and sarcastic which kind of works until you get to the scenes where he's directly threatening the protagonists...and he still sounds like an antagonistic sit-com boss.
They are all so adorable, I just want to fuck them to death!

Part of the joke is them being Team Rocket, I think. There's far too many similarities to be coincidence. Male/Female team, male with green eyes and female with blue, a very similar hair color Jessie, if not a mix of the two.
Heck, they've even blasted off once or twice in the series.
I doubt that they'll stop being Team Rocket any more than the main cast will stop being Sailor Moon with their transformation footage and shouting out attacks - although that makes more sense as various spells. Maybe a victory or two would work out, although they did have a few moments in the first season: namely Izira's transformation brooch and getting the one Oracle Gem. I suppose, technically, they also got away with the power enhancement stone... although they didn't know the one they grabbed was a fake. We'll certainly see Izira's brooch make a comeback in S2, and the lost Oracle Gem will be important if the show ever reaches its finale.

More transforming, more singing, great character interaction and banter, silly plots, Iris getting far more competent, interesting lore they hardly touch on, and french Gramorr having a badass voice. Also, expect all the goofy silliness and strange, nonsensical resolutions you might expect from something intentionally copying Sailor Moon or magical girl shows.
Overall rather good for the genre.

I think LoliRockers is the general fandom name (the Team has addressed everyone as such) but back when most of the action was here on /co/, Loli/co/cks was the breadwinner I think. Been using it as our "sub group" name.Better than BrolisEven if our power is maximum.

These threads are hard enough to keep alive just through the week. I don't think I've seen one stay alive to the bump limit. When the show is airing S2, I could see a weekly general for discussion, but right now it's incredibly hard to just keep one of these threads alive. I don't think anyone would seriously suggest a general for a topic with so few posters. Still, it is a little depressing to load up the catalog and see a new Dumbing of Age or Questionable Content thread every day with hundreds of posts when threads about things people actually enjoy get hardly any discussion. At least they're more like early Team Rocket in that you could see them being a threat if there was no one around to stop them.
Heck the fact that they won twice makes them more effective than pretty much all of Precure's generals.
Besides they're goofiness makes them fun and likeable. It's what first hooked me on to the show.

How are you making the gifs? It's pretty straightforward making a looping gif using the timeline and layers in photoshop:

You just copy all the layers (frames) except for the last and the first and place them in reverse order on the timeline. At least that's how I make gifs, but I'm no master of it so there might be an easier way.

Well, for parity's sake, besides big eps like Xeris and the finale that everyone likes.
13 is probably near the top, easily. Rare alternate outfits for the girls, lots of screen time for the twins and them delivering some classic moments, cute one time in Rebecca, and decently paced.
24 has high marks as well, lots of great expressions, action, and shot staging.
I'll think more for any others, but for both halves of the season, pre and post hiatus, those are my picks.

I prefer it because the harmonies sound better to me, and I don't notice how 'meh' any lyrics are as a non speaker. Conversely the French staff all like the English more.
The truly curious can prowl YouTube for versions from other dubs, that don't just reuse the English. I've seen Italian, Portuguese/HueHue, even Hebrew.
As for season 2 songs in French, nothing's come up yet. Only the English audio has been put out by the team, though I'm sure the French audio is long since done. Looking forward as well, will prob first hear with videos attached.
