Incorruptible and Irredeemable, two comics written by Mark Waid that focus around the idea of a Superman-type going crazy, and a supervillain trying to replace him.
>Why are you doing this?
Because I always wanted to do more storytimes. Plus, I broke down and bought that stupid 4chan pass after two issues worth of multi-image captchas, so I might as well make sure you all get my money's worth.
>Why this order?
Because the two titles cross over at a certain point before wrapping up, and I hate reading a story when I only know half the characters.

Not really. The concept is good, but it never delivers. Basically, you think that Max is going to fight the Plutonian...But no, the Plutonian is stupidly powerful. Max would never have a chance.
Max actually shows up in the main book JUST TO SAY "God, fuck you guys, you're all stupid assholes. I'm gone."

Yeah, I read Irredeemable and wonder what the hell was going on with Max Damage. I'm pretty sure they have title page saying "The Plutonian VS Max Damage!" and yet nothing happens. It's like I'm supposed to know and care who this character is, but I don't.

I didn't think incorruptible was bad. Just disappointed that it didn't have much of an impact on Irredeemale
I kind of like the message for Incorruptible. Sometimes, you don't matter on a grand scale, but that doesn't give you the right to be a shitty person.

This page bothers me. It is specifically stated that his parents were contained with the radiation because if they moved they would kill countless people, not that it directly affected them. Waid has gone against his own canon.
