Maybe they've been friends since they were little and stuck together due to the hardships and tragedies growing up well before the spider bite. Now Ganke is all too aware that Miley is way, way out of his league, and secretly stresses that she'll wise up and stop hanging out with a dorky, pudgy loser like him any day now.
Ganke's desperation to keep that from happening starts creating problems, conflicts, and, eventually, a rift, ironically pushing Miley away. Here you have the seeds for, in true Spider-Man fashion, a tragic spite-based turned to rivalry/villainy, perhaps eventually leading to redemption and reconciliation.

I know almost nothing about the character except that he's nerdy/geeky, doughy, and Miles' best friend.
I'd say something like "matter configuration" like Apocalypse on a smaller scale. He can control the shape and form of anything he touches or that touches him. This allows him to put his mind to use in creating elaborate constructs from his surroundings. Maybe his powers are unstable to add a bit of balancing.
The thing here is that Miley can't touch him - not only reinforcing the rift between them, but eliminating the cheap one-hit KO bullshit of the venom blast as a possibility. Any fight against Ganke is a fight Miley has to win with wits and/or their relationship.

I liked it a lot, and decided to give you some tips. I think that you are on a good path but need to focus a little on perspective.
Here, I edited your pic and only changed the perspective, without drawing any other thing. As you can see, I used the select tool and compressed some parts of her face with the size manipulation tools, to give a more natural format, and painted on a layer bellow to match the colors.
Of course you do your art as you want, but these are my two cents, and I hope you keep drawing.

I dont think that hate the requests, considering that a lot of them are still done by a lot of artists. I know that Area, Redfred and themightfenek like a lot doing them, and plenty of others take them too so I dont think that its an artist problem... its just the usual people complaining that their deliveries arent being done, which causes the shitting of the thread.
Which is kind of hypocrit, considering that you always see people requesting Joy/Pacifica/Marco and others in all the threads. If people didn't made it a big deal it wouldn't happen.
