New 52 Batgirl always felt like a really generic, Jim Lee-style comic that we had like a dozen of at the time. Aside from Simone constantly harping on the PTSD aspect, it felt like any other generic street level book.
I didn't hate it like most of /co/, but it was just kind of forgettable.

That's basically what most of the pre-Doyle batbooks were. Batgirl, Nightwing. Dark Knight, 'Tec, etc had all the same tone and everything.
They were almost completely interchangeable.
Like you said, the PTSD aspect is the most unique part of this, and if that wasn't included, you could have easily switched Barbara out with Dick and it would've been almost the same as Nightwing and vice versa.
