Guessing codecs are the issue.
Try it with a different media player, Potplayer is a decent enough choice, and it doesn't require any additional codecs to handle mkvs.
If it works with potplayer, then you're missing codecs required to play .mkv files.

The issue I have with Lux is that he was a nothing-character. The only thing I found mildly interesting about Ahsoka's crush on him was that Ahsoka had developed a crush at all. What made it work was the that Ahsoka was testing the Jedi Code and Anakin trying to keep her straight while seeing parallels with his forbidden relationship with Padme. This has nothing to do with Lux as a person, he could have been replaced with anybody and what worked about that plot would still work.
Now Ahsoka's out the order, she doesn't have those restrictions which made things more intriguing. Now any interest in a relationship between them comes from why they want to be together and I don't see Lux as a strong enough character to make that good.

Tarking didn't think a handful of fighters could hurt the deathstar. He was so unconcerned he didn't even order any fighters to launch (drowning the rebels in hundreds of TIE fighters). The only fighters that launched were the ones under Vader's personal command.

Kylo already does some prequel-esque moves in TFA, and Pablo Hidalgo says that the Prequel combat is always going to be representative of what a fully trained Jedi fights like.
