It's now out in America.
Thoughts?
Enjoyed literally every minute of it.
BTW, do you know where I can see the after credit scene? (not mid) Friends had to leave early.
I need to see a Deadpool vs. Spider-man movie.
I liked it.
I rate it five erections out of five. fantastic.
dat scarlet witch cleavage tho
>dat spidey
>dat ant-man
>dat airport scene
Loved it!

I'm not even a footfag but hnnnggg
It made me genuinely hype for another Spider-Man movie for the first time in like ten years.
Can't wait for Panther solo film too.
>>82514568
>Spiderman beneath Cap
What
We can all agree without a doubt that it was better than Age of Ultron, right?
>>82514392
That Chris Evans pulling the chopper.
No homo.
>>82514942
Well he pretty much hold his own against Black Panther and War Machine at the same time,
and then he easily beats Spidey.
Of course he's stronger, more agile than Cap. But he's new at his job and have problems to stay focused so.
>>82515060
They kinda bring their relative strength closer together. There's a bit during their fight where they're in a tug of war and Cap manages to pull Spidey off-balance and throw him.
>>82515659
desu senpai how many supers has spidey fought? not used to fighting someone who can keep up
>>82514969
I like Ultron a lot but yes.
Heath ledger Joker ruined this movie...
cause now every villain has to have a overly complicated plan that hinges on every coincidence falling perfectly into place, no matter how illogical.
Otherwise 9 otta 10
Not as great as winter solider, but damn Oscar worthy performances. Movie just assumes you're a comic fan and know everything. Good luck if you don't btw.
>>82514568
>Scarlet Witch beneath anyone
What.
>>82516669
Not really. The movie assumes you're caught up with the MCU so far.
>>82516669
I was actually pleasantly surprised by how coherent Zemo's plan was.
He started a manhunt against a guy, and then killed and impersonated the specific individual called in to evaluate that man so he could extract the information he needed from him. Everything after that was just him leaving breadcrumbs so that Tony Stark would know where to find him so he could drop that last info bomb.
The only real 'wild guess' was that Cap would make sure Bucky was brought in alive, but anyone who had enough information to know who Bucky was in the first place was going to guess that much. Fucking everyone who knew Cap called it in advance.
Everything else that happened in the movie was the Avenger's fighting among themselves. He didn't plan the details of any of that, because he didn't have to. What mattered to him was that they were divided enough to fight each other in the first place.
>>82514969
Well yeah, they don't even compare.
>>82514456
I remember everyone shit on the airport shots from the trailers
>hurr durr the main battle is a fight in an airport this shit is going to flop
>Look at them run at each other
It was at the very least one of the top 3 super hero fights ever.
>>82513842
T'Challa was boss as fuck.
>"Let them try"
Black Panther and Spidey stole the show.
The only thing this movie suffered from was stupid pills. This, like the conflict in BvS could have been solved with a little patience and discussion.
Also, Wanda is supposed to be like what, 16-20??? The casting was wrong. I never realized she was supposed to be so young. I still enjoy Olsen though. She's a solid actor.
Last thing: Does Bucky have any super serum in the MCU?

>>82519474
Rumour has it they had to tone down a lot of the bro between Steve and Bucky. Because that would be seen as gay.
Because no one has a lot of faith in bros just being bros.
I enjoyed it the whole way through. There was nothing absolutely amazing about it besides of course the Avengers fighting between themselves but it was consistently enjoyable the whole way through. Better than Avengers, Age of Ultron and Winter Soldier.
>>82519550
This explains Sharon overstaying her welcome.
So like the Thanos, infinity gauntlet and infinity stones and shit right?
Does this confirm Vision to eventually be kill? He is powered by the Mind Stone after all.
>>82513842
tied with TWS for best MCU filmyes, even better than GotG, suck a dick, Prattfags
felt a bit more grandiose and had some genuinely hilarious moments, but overall, the focus never strayed from Cap for too long (which was my fear going in) and the villains were handled well
>>82519634
I wonder what Wanda felt when she took control of the gem
that couldn't have felt pleasant for her, it being an infinity stone and all
It was a spectacular movie and I felt it handled Civil War more coherently than the actual comics
Plus dat airport scene was god tier

That could just be because Peter is lighter. Don't forget that Peter doesn't have super-gravity control. And even though he has super-grip, his feet can't be so sticky as to stop him from being lifted.
>>82513842
It was amazing
main villain wasn't perfect but the actor was cool and he was menacing enough
Could have spent more time on the actual tension between team members but I can get over that because THAT AIRPORT SCENE WAS AMAZING!

9/10
>>82513842
Watched it in Europe.
I liked it a lot. Loved the beating that Tony got in the end. Didn't like the running scene in the tunnel. It looked liked they were floating over the street.
Cap needs to understand that Tony is not a soldier. Liked Wanda and Visions dialogues.
I want to see more Black Panzer. Ant-Man is ant man and also giant man. Hank Pym said never trust a Stark. Who are you?
I want to fuck aunt May now. Aunt May is a Milf or Ailf.
>>82516802
This. Zemo's plan is actually one of the best villain plans in a film. People say he's weak but I think he's one of the best villains we've had in a long time.
I like quiet, subtle villains with no need for grandstanding.
>>82519320
>>82519382

>>82519844
This. I loved his choice of words and his voice.

Why did Zemo become someone who just wanted to see the world burn?
Petty vengeance I can understand but he just felt like someone who gives no fucks anymore.
>cap's cool speech from the comic gets tossed to his dead grandma gf instead
>spidey didn't switch to cap's side after fucking up his identity reveal because it never happened
>Goliath's death was changed to a fake out with War Machine
Other than that, good stuff.
>>82519622
I'm glad she didn't join the fight. The concept art made her seem like another fighter. Her role was a sufficient one
>>82519944
Peter's job was to mindfuck Tony, not to change sides.
>>82519944
Also
>Cap didn't get assassinated and made a martyr as a fuck you to Tony, also resulting in Crossbones and Carter having altered roles and less influence
>>82519905
I don't want Zemo back. This is the ultimate villain moment where he triumphs over the heroes. Giving an encore performance is to cheapen the character.
>>82519971
He didn't mind fuck him, all he did was tag along.
Scarlet Witch got a costume at the end of Avengers 2, but goes back to normal clothes for this?
>>82520012
She used it in the airport battle
>>82513842
Loved it.
The only two things I didn't like was a pretty much wasted Crossbones (no based Grillo in future movies) and that they got rid of the supersoldiers, when hunting them down was the first arc of Brubaker's Winter Soldier and could've made for a good Winter Soldier solo movie.
>>82520012
>they all have superhero names
>refer to each other by their first names
Real life isn't a comic book, anon.
It's shit.
Not from America, watched it a week ago.
But I'd like to share my opinion.
I have no words, I'm a huge Marvel fan, Civil War became my favorite movie of all time.
>An emotional plot
>Character development
>Captain America's legendary "NO, YOU MOVE" speech reference
>The greatest superhero fights I've ever seen in my life
>Spider-Man finally fighting along with THE AVENGERS
>GIANT MAN
>Dark tones though never losing Marvel's humor
>A heartbreaking and bloody Captain America vs. Iron Man battle
>Released in the U.S on my birthday, May 6th
After being dissapointed by Star Wars and bvs, Marvel did an amazing film, one that didn't dissapointed me at all, their best movie yet, the Russo brothers understand the true essence and meaning of Marvel's comic books and know how to protray it in a movie, they did an incredible job with what the MCU has already built, it was the first time in many years I left the theater with a smile on my ugly face.
Man, what a time to be alive.
PINCH OF PAPRIKA XD
>>82519931
>Why did Zemo become someone who just wanted to see the world burn?
>Petty vengeance I can understand but he just felt like someone who gives no fucks anymore.
He was always planning to kill himself, like Yinsen of IM1. He just decided that before he die, he would harm the Avengers as much as he is able on his way out.
He isn't interested in destroying nations or committing genocide, which is why he had no use for the 5 winter soldiers. His anger is focused on the Avengers only, and any other people he harm are only killed because it was necessary for the plan. For example, had the Hydra agent gave up his secrets, there might not be a need to blow up the UN.
How is the action compared to BvS?
>>82513842
Holy fuck, I was dead wrong about it!
This was movie was awesome!
Best superhero movie to date, as far as I am concerned.
So, who's hoping that Zemo will be back for Thunderbolts.
Really well-balanced movie, I don't know why some critics thinking it was overstuffed mess. I thought the storyline was consistent throughout with great twist and turn. All the characters really have a purpose and meshed well together with the story.
>>82520326
Like comparing the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Trolls 2.
bvs ain't got shit on Civil War, the action in Civil War has surpassed anything I've seen on a comic book movie in my life.
>>82517936
Governments want to control the power that's the avengers and use the media to turn the people against them, despite them having done good.
It works in real life too.
I couldn't stop laughing at Panther.
Literally "we wuz kangs'n shieeet" character.
Good bits:
+Spidey and his hot as fuck aunt
+airport fight
+Ant-Man
+Stark losing his shit
+Widow being not annoying and reasonable
Why would Hawkeye leave his family to become a fucking fugitive?
Does Cap love Buck?
>>82520389
Leave, /tv/
I fucking hate how Spidey is now forever tied to Iron-Man and being in his debt for the suit.
>yfw Ant-Man turns into Giant-Man
>>82513842
I liked certain parts of it, but I got bored to be honest. Its a weird movie cause it made you think everything was on the line and there was this huge war and rift but in the end everyone just punched each other for about 5 minutes and went home as friends.
>>82519944
It didn't try to follow the comics' Civil War at all.
It's gone and done its own thing completely.
Cap not dying was kinda shitty, but it is MCU.
Everyone will die anyway in Infinity War Part 1 just to be back in Part 2.
>>82520446
Zemo never intended to wage any kind of war though. He just wanted to harm the avengers.
Zemo was the shittiest villain I've seen in a long time.
>>82518397
>>82513842
I loved it and was pleasantly surprised by how much i liked Black Panther and the new Spidey.
>>82520426
When he grow up, he will realise that stark is the douchebag. Now he is to unexperienced
Zemo was the best villain I've seen in a long time.
>>82520426
Spidey is tied to no one. I think it was a pretty realistic approach to him, to be honest. He's just a 15 year old with no real money, as he grow older, he will come up with his own tech, Stark just helped him and I think that was pretty nice.
I doubt he even came up with the concept for the suit, I bet he asked Peter to drawn it offsceen, how he wanted his suit to be. The movie was about Stark using his money to give people means to achieve their goal. Stark just financed him.
>>82520446
No one went home as friend. Stark still wants to murder the absolute fuck of Bucky. He still keept Cap's team on jail until Cap come up for his rescue, turning a blind eye doesn't mean they're on good terms.
The movie was about not getting consumed by the flames of revenge, not forgiving people. Or do you think Black Panther is friends with Zemo? Black Panther forgave Bucky because he had nothing to do with his father's death. He believes in justice.
Widow betrayal was also okay, for she knew the winter soldier and worked with cap, she knows who he is and what Hydra have done with him.
>>82513842
>cap was in the wrong
Nah
>>82513842
I've got a couple gripes but they're pretty minor
>Just a bit too much shakey cam during the fight scenes
You could still tell where the punches were coming from, but it was still too much, especially considering that shakey cam is usually used to cover up bad choreography and as far as I could tell, the choreography in this was spectacular
>The Bucky Cap Tony fight at the end of the movie is partially shown in the trailer, and when those hits dont happen anywhere else in the movie, you know that they're going to find a reason to fight at the Siberian base
Less of a problem with the movie and more with the marketing team that made the trailer. As someone who managed to stay absolutely spoiler free except for the trailer, I hate that they had that much movie to pull from and showed shit from the third act.
>Spider-man as a functioning autistic kid
This is more of a personal gripe. The awkward motor mouth instead of being quippy and sarcastic, complaints about his sensory information needing to be filtered out, and casually conversing with the people he's fighting with sincerely makes me think he was designed as mildly autistic and that's not necessarily a bad thing, and its unlikely that he'll treat mobsters and villains the same way, but I was getting some NOT MUH feelings from how he was in this movie specifically.
giANTS!
Spidey was almost perfect.
I wish he was a bit older but otherwise amazing job.
Kinda wonder, is Uncle Ben in this universe?
He would have to be a younger guy due to how May looks.
>>82514456
And that the only part of the movie that anyone will be able to speak positive about
>>82520503
>Just a bit too much shakey cam during the fight scenes
The only time that really got to me was the stairwell fight with Cap and Bucky. Even as someone who don't mind shakey-cam that much it was too much for me.
>>82520527
Aunt May making out with Stark was honestly weird.
I thought it was brilliant, the best MCU movie because of how well it built from its predecessors. The Captain America trilogy did a great job of widening its scope and expanding its themes with each entry, and in my opinion it's the best Iron Man movie so far too. I never cared much for Tony Stark before, but the emotional range he's given is fantastic, RDJ adds a lot of depth to his caricature. The movie also greatly improves of the ensemble elements of Age of Ultron.
I really liked Zemo. Marvel has its issues with its villains, but Zemo was refreshingly sympathetic and straightforward, no armies or super tech, just patience, planning and success.
Black Panther's introduction was really concise and exciting. Every scene with Ant Man was incredibly fun, as was Bucky and Falcon's chemistry. Seeing Scarlet Witch and Vision together made me giddy, and even Black Widow, Hawkeye and War Machine had great moments.
Everything about Spider-man was totally perfect and it made me feel like a 10 year old again.
The only things I wasn't into was the ending, like AoU, not feeling quite bittersweet enough. The Avengers are on the lamb, but the status quo doesn't feel changed too much. And while Cap himself was perfectly serviceable and carried the plot well, I didn't find his performance that memorable aside from the final fight with Tony. Actually the stairwell fight and the helicopter scene were great as well.
TL;DR It was fun.
>>82520527
Spidey was working as Spiderman for six months, right?
Uncle Bean probably get shoot some months ago, maybe his death was what triggered Peter to become Spiderman in the MCU.
I can bet it will be something along these lines. Or he was just off the house in that moment and they will kill him again in homecoming or when Peter gets older. May and Peter were somehow unaffected, and if he was dead, Peter would probably mention it to Stark.
>>82516802
>>82519844
>One of the best plans
>When the only thing kept it alive was good timing and chance
What would he have done if scarlet witch didn't fuck up? What would he have done if cap signed the accords? What if there was no accords? What if Buckey gave himself in?
>>82520553
Tony Stark is getting old, he's developing a taste for MILFs
>>82520553
Not only that but the whole thing about May was kinda a bit too on the nose.
"WOW YOUR AUNT IS ONE HOT FUCKING BABE WOW PETER I WANNA FUCK HER WOW DID I MENTION HOW HOT SHE IS BABABABAB"
Saw it on Monday, it was fucking excellent. I am most definitely down for a Black Panther solo movie, that guy was brilliant.
>>82520567
>He thinks that only old men develops a taste for MILFS
There really was no reason for Spidey to be there
Not that I'm complaining, but he really had no bearing in the conflict. Same with Ant-man
>>82519474
Tony wanted to give Thunderbolt Ross control of The Avengers, does that really sound like a good idea to you?
The only thing that pissed me off is that Bucky killed Tony's parents and Tony was fucking mad about it, understandably. I'm just not sure how I feel about Cap defending Bucky after that.
He murdered his parents and Cap is just like 'it's okay because he's my pal'
>>82520527
Spider-man said something like "when you can do something but didn't do it, it's your fault" when Tony Stark asked him why does he do the hero thing.
I bet that was a refference that Uncle Ben was already shot dead and Spidey could have but did not prevent it.
I felt like there was so e disparity bewteen May's apartment and Peter's room.
His apartment was actually pretty nice, but his room alongside fucking IBM PC was a bit too much of a poorfag.
>>82520616
What, no.
He's saying Bucky was brainwashed to do it.
>>82520604
I'm sure a lot of the people Tony killed in Iron Man 3 were somebody's parents too. And he had full control of his mind and body while doing the killing
>>82520616
Bucky was brainwashed by Hydra.
Cap knew that and that's why he defended him.
>>82520616
Is a sword or a gun the one to blame for the people it kills? No. A sword or gun cannot make decisions, they are just tools used by other people. You can hate that tool, but you cannot blame it for what it did.
I really don't think Bucky was worth all this shit
I know he got brainwashed and all that, but still
>>82520616
Bucky's fucked up in the head . I like "can't be held responsible for his actions" fucked up.

prety good, but it was too much cap 3 rather than Civil war
So at the end who is with whom?
Since Cap did breakout prisoners I assume he tagged along with
-Wanda
-Hawkeye
-Ant
-Falcon

What about rest?
>>82520604
Cap defends Bucky because Bucky had no saying in the matter, it wasn't like he voluntarily killed those people.

>>82520560
Nothing to do with the accords was part of his plan, nor did it matter to him. All that did was make his job easier, but the only part of the movie that was his plan was the Bucky/Iron Man/Steve rumble. He took advantage of the UN accords meeting to make a public attack that would be pinned on Bucky, thats where his plan began.
And bucky turning himself in makes his plan, if anything, easier.
Threadly reminder that the memory thing Stark made can pretty much solve everything wrong with Bucky's brain.

Ant-Man really, really wants to be a hero, and being given the chance to work Captain fucking America would be like receiving a supehero certificate. Notice that he was brought in to be part of Zemo's hunt, not to fight.

>>82513842
Astonishing movie, the Russo Brothers are the best thign that has ever happened to the MCU together with Reed.
Wonderful direction, cinematography, the action was fucking point (as it is expected by a Russo Marvel movie), the writing was pretty much on point, especially whenever Cap was the one talking, they even made ScarJo a feasible actress, the humour is fucking hilarious with the chemistry they brought between Falcon and Bucky and of course Peter and Scott's jokes.
Do i really even I have to tlak about Tom Holland? The kid is literally Peter Parker, Boseman was decent as Black Panter too.
But what made me literally yelp in excitement was the Giant Man moment of Paul Rudd's Scott Lang, I love the concept and look of Giant Man and I just love Ant-Man/Giant Man all around (when it isn't batshit wifebeater Hank Pym that is) it has such a Watchmen feel to it and I love Marvels (the Alex Ross series) so when I saw Ant-Man become Giant Mna it was literally the best thing ever.
The couple of flaws I can recall:
1.In some points the movie did feel slightly too crowded but it wasn't that much fo an issue for me.
2. I would've liked if somehow Zemo was still connected to the Nazi Barons' dinasty (maybe his granfather would've escaped in Sokovia?) but again, nothing major, Bruhl was pretty greta in the part.
I some aspects I prefer BvS (yeh I can love both movies calm down) but I love some other better in this motion picture
>>82520774
Yea and so he understands when Bucky decides to freeze himself again.

How much of Hawkeye having a family a secret?
The risk of being a fugitive just to lend a helping hand doesn't seem to bother him all that much.

This.
Both teams needed a wildcard because they knew each other already.
Also worth noting: Spidey and Ant man took each other out as well. They cancelled each other basically.

That's not what I fucking said. I said that Bucky was being used as a tool to kill people just like a weapon. A weapon doesn't choose to kill, Bucky didn't choose to kill.

They've hinted at Tony's love for the drink quite a bit in the MCU so far. IM2 even uses it as a plot point.
If ever there were a time for him to hit the bottle hard it'd be now. But I dunno if they'd go that far with the series. How much more Tony development do we need, anyway

Doubtful, the only thing that Zemo mentions he found was the info about the soviet Hydra agent. He most likely found the video stored in that bunker at the end. It was the base of operations for the Winter Soldier, so it makes sense that there was plenty of information about his ops lying around.

I think the reason why Steve didn't tell Tony about his parents is because Steve wanted to protect Bucky and cause more animosity between him and Stark. It was all in the past and there's nothing Tony or Steve could do to change it.

No, but it would make sense, since he's stuck in Wakanda. T'Challa might unfreeze him for a final fight or something.
>>82520500
no no I knew BP and Zemo where not friends lol BP was probably the most level headed person throughout that whole movie and that was the intention of his character arc. I guess the movie made it SEEM like it was a "happy" ending, but I guess they wanted to end on a high-note, because the last few minutes of that movie got DAAAAARK.
>Nobody got pulped by an aircraft like the last two Cap movies
Otherwise it was great, can't wait to see it again.
>>82521085
Yeah I get that. He says that in his letter at the end.
What I'm saying is that SO much people seems that they have not paid any attention during previous movies and they say that the fact that Winter Soldier killed Howard was such a twist but they don't get how Steve and Zemo were already aware.
Arnim Zola explicitly implies that the Winter Soldier was used to get rid of Howard Stark.
So the funny thing is that Black Widow is also aware of that...

Zemos origin was the only one that didn't feel good.
I was hoping his lineage would tie in more, I wanted some Baron Zemo work.
But his plan and the way he talked to "Captain" was all nice. I'd love to see him lead a movie with Freeman as their Amanda Waller

I doubt T'Challa will give him another metal arm.
But I also think that Bucky might feature in it somehow for tickets and to connect whatever is happening there with the rest of the avengers.
Unlike people think, I believe that BP movie will feature the time gem, so we can see all the others kings as black panther and his dad, maybe he wants to bring him back or use him to help him rule with guidance, it set the tone for something like that.
But if the black panthers always have a way to talk with all the kings before him, i'm pretty sure the time gem is involved.
And doctor strange will feature the soul gem for dimensions n shit. Also, eye of agamotto.
Stark going to spider-man scene looks weird. Stark doesn't look like he is assessing if the kid can do it or not

TOO. MUCH. SHAKEYCAM.
I nearly fucking vomited in the theater during the Crossbones sequence and Cap chasing Bucky.
The dialogue was great, the pacing was as good as you can ask in a two and a half hour movie, the airport scene was fucking amazing, and the latter action scenes were fine, but holy shit the action before the airport was nauseating.
Also Black Panther, Ant Man, and Spider Man stole the show.

2 - he has labyrinthitis

Not seeing it until next week at the earilest. Did they mock the fact that everyone already knows Spidey's origin story or did they just gloss over it?
>>82521550
Uhm actually it felt the same in both movies, if anything that scene should shut everyone up about the BvS one.
Tony literally went "HE KILLED MUH MOMMY", which is understandable but it also means that people can't really complain about the otehr one which has a completely other significance: Batman relaizing that Superman is just as human as everyone else and was trying to save his own mother, deceived as he was, full of rage and psychosis.
But yeh I won't get into that cesspoll of an argument, I'm just here to tlak abotu CW.
>>82521655
I've watched scenes and it was fine, rapid camera movement isn't the issue, it's rapid and high-amplitude shaking.
Motion sickness is caused when the eyes perceive intense motion that your inner ear doesn't feel. A constant and powerful enough shakey-cam effect on a large screen will prevent the eyes from focusing properly and convince the brain that you're being thrown around like a ragdoll but your inner ear is saying you're perfectly still.
I'd love to see a stabilized cut of the first few action scenes, though the first one also had way too many quick cuts for my taste as well.

I enjoyed it,but it's not a movie I'd watch twice. I'm happy people are enjoying it so much, but I feel it's being oversold, probably because of the recent cape flops.
While it's a big step up from the source material, I can't say I was particularly invested whenever they weren't focusing on Tony's slow descent into clinical depression (just leave him be, for Christ's sake!), Cap's boyfriend problems, Zemo's plan orANTS!.
Black Panther was cool, sure, but I couldn't give a rat's ass about his personal drama, and the only good thing that came out of that whole Vison and Wanda deal was the ending to the airport fight.

Tony has the arc reactor in his armor. That's like carrying his dad with him whenever he fights, so in a sense, Howard's been with him since he became Iron Man.
His mom though? The parent he was probably closer to? That's right out, man. All he's got are a few good memories of her and by the time of Civil War, his parents have been dead longer than he'd ever known them.

Spidey is really young in CW, and a 30 something aunt for a teenager is not unusual.
The classic May was way older because back then, families tended to have a lot more kids over a lot more time. This means the age difference between the oldest and youngest sibling could be huge. Nowadays, it's not like that.
And Marisa Tomei is hot, go watch it.
>>82523328
>the Russos aren't the biggest Superman fans and are puzzled as to how to make a good movie out of him.
They also have outright stated that they didn't like Cap growing up.
At least Joe has said that his favourites were Spidey, Wolverine and Batman. Also Groo the wanderer. Liking a character less than others should not come in your way when writing/directing a movie, if you are any good.
>>82523281
He was a bit sidelined in the airport battle, but he always came from above. Since they established that SW kind of hard-counters him, and he is too OP to fight anyone else, I got the impression he was just above everyone not being able to decide what to do and only intervened to save Panther and referee the fight, more or less. It´s kind of weird though, a movie about the civil war and Aunt May interests me the most. I mean, she is supposed to be old! I...
I think I see myself out and return once I watched the movie.
>>82523412
Maybe. I dunno, use your imagination.
Made myself a cover photo for after Civil War
Haven't seen it yet stuck in class m8s
Is anyone else getting a little sick of Stan Lee cameos? They've gone from funny easter eggs to actively taking me out of the movie.
>>82523340
kek.
There were a bunch of neat parallels:
>Hawkeye punching an increasingly strong Vision who starts tanking it halfway
>Just like that we're cool
>The whole mum stuff at the end
Not to mention the general structure, which was bound to be similar considering the circumstances.
>>82523400
>They also have outright stated that they didn't like Cap growing up.
I watched an interview where they talked about that. They said that one their goals with Winter Soldier was to establish how cool Cap really is.
>>82523443
You say that now.
But imagine this, once Lee dies, whst will you do?
What will any of us do?
The fun cameos will be over.
>>82523443
He'll be dead in another 20 years or so.
>>82523441
A bit too cluttered.
>>82523400
Vision is likely growing as a character but my question is.what if vision DID hit Falcon? wouldn't that have killed him?!?!
>>82523441
>Money bag
>mfw Civil War pulls in less money then BvS
>>82523441
Nice.
>>82523491
just like Civil War eyooooo
>>82523505
The goal was to hit the thruster, not the person, so he couldn't gain altitude, but could control his landing.
Although I guess he could've missed the other way and fried him.
>>82523479
They'll find ways of digitally putting him in.
>>82523478
Now if only they could have made him a character as well.

>DC fags holding onto "muh box office"
This is sad anon
>>82523516
That's literally impossible.
BvS didn't break 1 billion because the shitty word of mouth stopped people from seeing it more than once.
Whereas, CW is getting nothing more than positive everything, and that'll make people excited to go see it, maybe more than once.
At this rate, CW is set to make more than AoU by the time it gets taken off movie theaters.
>>82523535
>STAN becomes the new AI in Tony's suit
>>82523572
Good on them, only 602 million more to go.
it brutally destroyed bvs and punched snyder's lack of talent to death
>>82523505
If he did hit him, yes that would have killed him
>>82523576
It it box office who says if more things will come, which can lead to improvement. Like it did for Ninja turtles and the Fast and the Furious serie.
>>82523583
Is it? Because Civil War being so safe means that people might not want to see it more then once.
>>82523627
Civil War beat the opening weekends of BvS on every territory it was released. It brutally murdered it in Europe, Mexico, Korea, Japan. China loves Ironman so it will also make gangbusters there. And it's on its way to beat the opening weekend of BvS in America. BvS didn't even get to 900 million, Civil War has a floor of 1 billion. Disney already won.

Anyone who has run a marathon can tell you that the start is not important, but to keep going at a steady pace. You know like Zootopia
>>82523659
I wonder how big a bite can Apocalypse take.
X-Universe is in a weird state where Deadpol fucked them over and proved that straight up fidelity to the character's spirit is better for Box Office at least.
>>82523728
>Deadpol fucked them over and proved that straight up fidelity to the character's spirit is better for Box Office at least.
I think that's highly dependent on the character in question. Just staying as slavishly faithful to the source material as possible is not necessarily a recipe for box office success.
>>82523721
>Anyone who has run a marathon can tell you that the start is not important, but to keep going at a steady pace
A lesson Snyder would do well to remember

My only grip is that Zimo didn't wear his outfit. But he still a great villain. And since he still alive he better wear it in future movies.
>>82523792
Yeah, but you have to see that the only characters that they are bringing to the screen are the ones that proved interesting in their comic runs in the first place, so there's a causal link to it.
Not that every movie would get the Deadpool revenue, but now they don't know how to do it now. They went the exact opposite way in their approach to Deadpool and it's bound to gross more than X-Men, and I doubt that FOX will be able to single out which of the variables caused it, since they changed almost all of them.
Was it marketing?
Was it faithfulness in the character?
Was it the R-Rated jokes?
Was it the story deconstruction?
Was it Ryan Reynolds enthusiasm?
Was it the characters?
Was it the lower budget and self-awareness?
Was it timing?
Was it ALL of it?
Was it a fluke?
They just don't know what to make of it, and it's a full pendulum swing in the opposite direction, and now they won't be able to replicate it. Gambit is out of the window more than likely, and the rest of the X-Men movies are waiting to see how Apoc does. They are in an interesting position, but FOX has managed to learn the wrong lessons everytime they have a golden goose, and I'm not just talking about their superheroes. It's just too big and heavy a studio to adapt quickly.
>>82523912
There would have been no justification in the story for him to wear a purple sock on his head. It would have looked silly.

Sometimes they're done well, but I get what you mean. It gets hamfisted having a famous face pop up there. Like when Ben Affleck Cameo'd in BvS, that was super forced too.
Question:Why exactly was Tony suddenly cool with Steve at the end?
>>82524014
Douches
>>82523104
The moment Peter opens the apartment door, you can see Tony and May breaking off a kiss.
>>82524068Because he thought Zemo was going to activate the supersoldier assassins. So they had to team up for a bit.
So looking forward from here can someone remind me of which gems we know the location of? Have we seen the soul gem? If not what are the chances they actually introduce Adam Warlock for infinity war?
>>82524139
>Have we seen the soul gem?
>>82523516
BvS has made 864m World wide, 326m of that is from the US.
Cap:CW has 290m world wide and is project an over 200m opening weekend in the US. It's going to get over half way to beating BvS in 1 week.
I'd literally bet all my money that BvS will make less the civil war, it's a no brainer. I would not be surprised if WB has stock in disney, not even they are as stupid as you.
>>82513842
I'm hoping someone in a future film confronts Zemo with his hypocricy. And footage of the Avengers' inevitable reunion.

This. The avengers and super heroes in general were causing all kinds of collateral damage and just walking away year after year.

>Well gee wizz, I guess Bucky did kill Howard and his wife.

>>82520733
Well duh, that's why they set it up. But the whole process will be hell on Bucky, and might just make him more suicidal than he already is.
>>82524677
But it wasn't really Bucky, it was the Winter Soldier. People don't realize that WS was basically a separate person that HYDRA stuffed into Bucky's body. The fact that they can't get rid of him is why Bucky chooses to be put under until they can.
>>82524677
How would Tony have reacted if Steve told him ASAP?
Tony was super-pissed that Steve kept the truth from him.
>I'm sorry Tony, but he's my friend.
>So was I...
That exchange makes even more sense when you realize the gravity of the situation.
>>82513842
I actually loved the way the movie ends. I didn't felt it was a "business only" letter, I think Tony is still Cap's friend even tho Tony may not feel the same way about Cap anymore. I didn't watched it in original voices because of my location and the voice of Cap reading the letter didn't felt like he was sad. And Tony doesn't seem to give a fuck about Ross' shit. I feel like it is an happy ending.
>>82524775
So its like the Hulk? Which makes Tony siding with Ross pretty symbolic then.
>>82523238
>1/6th scale
Isn't it always up to scale with Scott?
>>82524775
Its more the fact that Cap knew for 2 years that Bucky, Winter Solider personality set aside, killed Tony's parents. Telling Tony after he learned would have been the best situation because Tony would have time to, y'know, figure shit out.

I refuse to read something with a title like that. Trump has nothing to do with this movie.
>>82524775
Tony has a fuckton of personal issues stemming from unresolved closure with his parents, alcoholism, Pepper leaving him, his paranoia, PTSD from the Battle of New York, being responsible for Ultron and Killian, finding out Howard was a massive asshole to Whiplash's dad by sending him back to the Soviets, and other baggage.
He just saw footage of Bucky murdering his mom and dad with his bare hands. No shit he's gonna freak. Most people aren't going to be logical when dealing with something like that.
It's why I thought T'Challa was the true hero of Civil War. He felt awful that his vengeance made him almost kill an innocent man and he prevented Zemo from killing himself. Enough was enough, no more deaths. And the fact that he helped Bucky in the end really shows that T'Challa is indeed a king and a noble warrior.
>>82524806
Nobody gave Clint or Selvig any shit for being under Loki's control despite killing several SHIELD agents and helping the Chitauri to invade.

If this Civil War was the comic I read growing up, I would have loved it.
The MCU being a a self-contained world is honestly a blessing.

It would have killed Falcon in addition to crippling War Machine, the beam would have gone straight through him.
>>82524863
>>82524883
Hence why Cap decided to keep his mouth shut on the matter. One thing Jessica Jones taught us about the greater MCU is that their justice system is still catching up to the existence of stuff like mind control and superpowers
>>82524826
And hence why Cap apologized in that letter. There were arguments both for and against Cap keeping this a secret.
>>82524941
Also Widow gave him the files in TWS.
Steve could also have just learned it outside the movie. It's not really relevant, so long as Steve knew. They said Steve/Sam had been investigating him for a long time.
>>82524956
He was trying to hit the thruster, making Falcon go into glide mode, not kill him.
>>82524883
Because that was a one time deal AND was likely kept secret from the world till CAP:Winter Soldier and the hydra file dump.
Hulk and Bucky are public enemies. Hulk has done heroic things too sure, but that's not the conclusion Ross see's. Those he wants Hulk contained and of course Ross. Bucky obviously can be abused and that power contained. Rationale thinking by Stark or not, there is logic to this motive.
>>82524982
With a laser powerful enough to slice through Iron Man armor.
>>82524965

>>82524100no, he's talking about at the very end.The last fight is all about Tony being in a blind rage, both at what Bucky did, and at Steve for not telling him.By the end of the movie, he's calmed down.
What do you think it will be like when the team gets back together? Do you think they'll wait for Infinity War?
>>82524993
I wonder how Thor and Banner are gonna react to post-CW Earth? Will Tony try to reach out to them?
>>82524908
He put two and two together. He didn't know for sure, but that made no difference since he acted under the assumption that Howard was killed by Bucky.
>>82524982
It still would've clipped the top of his head
>>82525004
For a lot of people Tony's immediate "I'mma kill him" response was enough proof that Cap was justified in keeping it a secret.
>>82524947
related in terms of the quality of bullshit Salon publishes.
Do you guys think the missing super soldier will continue Zemo's plans forming his own Thunderbolts?
>>82525001
It didn't slice through the entire armor so much as it struck the arc reactor at the right angle. It was a one out of a million shot that unfortunately got Rhodey crippled.

>>82524982
He was, but it doesn't change the fact that he would have hit the thrusters, blown Falcon's head off and then hit War Machine anyway.
>>82525042
I mean, he did just watch a video of his parents being brutally killed, with the murderer in the room. His reaction was pretty justified.
>>82524187
My theory is that the soul gem will be revealed in Infinity pt1 me will be a setup to give Carol Danvers her powers. That way, they can get close to her original origin without some kree maguffin and instead introduce the final stone.
>>82525042
Eh, to be fair, Tony was pissed that Steve kept it a secret and Zemo knew that after all the shit from IM 1 to AOU, Tony was a ticking time bomb. All he needed was the right push: footage of Bucky murdering the Starks.
If Steve had told Tony sometime before AOU as well as the fact that Bucky was brainwashed against his will, Tony would rage and even trash things, but he'd calm down eventually. He'd also appreciate that Steve told him the truth upfront. I doubt Tony would be hell-bent on trying to kill Bucky when he realizes that HYDRA is responsible for mind-controlling Bucky as a weapon.
>>82516914
>>82516968
Zemo was bad in the sense he was barely in the movie. He had like 7 minutes of screen time.
I hope we see him again.
>>82525075
>the murderer
You mean the weapon. Bucky had no free will or decision to do it. He was a drone of HYDRA; no different than his Iron Legions bots.
>>82525102
Seriously, I know Steve himself didn't want to say it, but saying it as soon as possible would have given Tony time to research shit on HYDRA and accept that it wasn't Bucky himself.
>>82525075
Yeah, but at that point Zemo told them to their faces that he was manipulating them.
Zemo basically went "and now you're going to kill each other" and Tony acted on it without second thought.
>>82519847
You know you wanna pet it.
>>82525128
Put yourself in Tony's shoes anon. To him, Bucky wasn't a weapon of HYDRA, to him Bucky was the man that took his parents away from him.
>>82525044
Are you implying the headline is wrong?
>>82520503
agreed on the shakey cam. In the marketplace it got really annoying.
>>82525042
If Cap had told him calmly over a cup of coffee, he would have reacted differently. Even if Tony got angry, Cap would have had time to explain the mind control, talk about how the same happened to Clint, etc.
He found out by seeing footage of his parents being punched to death by the equivalent of a jackhammer, while in a room with the man who killed them, and the so called friend who knew it and hid it from him.
Tony's reaction was wrong, to be sure, but under these circumstances who is to say we wouldn't react the same or worse? And it's Steve's fault, for being overprotective of Bucky.
>>82525138
Yep. This is why Steve was seriously in the wrong over this.
>>82525157
Because Zemo knew Tony was a power keg waiting to blow. He fell for it hook, line, and sinker. T'Challa, on the other hand, was the only one who kept his head on his shoulders.
>>82525170
I'd be pissed at Bucky, but still realize the guy is a brainwashed puppet. I'd crack him in the jaw to blow off some steam, beat up Zemo to a pulp, tell Steve to go fuck himself, and then hunt down every member of HYDRA that was behind my parents' death.
>>82525177
Yes. It's a hitpiece to smear a group that disagrees with their ideology.

> GotG 2
I bet no one from Cap 3 is in this. Maybe we'll get a Dr.Strange cameo or Thor 3 tease, but nothing more
> Spider-man
IM is confirmed, maybe we'll get Vision too? Who knows? I feel like any of Cap's team is out though
> Thor 3
Hulk, Thor, possibly Fury? Again, I doubt we'll see Caps team
> Black Panther
Yes, I am positive we will see either Cap, or someone from Caps team in this.
> Avengers 3
The russo's want to rename the movies. I bet Avengers 3 has a fair amount of earth action in the start. Maybe some kind of masters of evil team taking advantage of the displaced avengers. Leading into space shit.
Also for
>Spider-man Maximum Carnage
I hope this happens and Cap appears, that'd be the tits.
>>82525063
Do you think Star Lord is also a fan of Cap?
>>82525263
Thor 3 is Super Smash Brothers. Hulk and Thor are gonna be cracking skulls as buds.
>>82525263
Capt Marvel accidentally confirmed for Avengers 3, which might have something to do with the plot.
>>82525263
Wouldn't be surprised to see Bucky in Black Panther.
>>82525253
He may have told the authorities, certainly Nick, Widow and Falcon, but there's nothing to even hint that he talked to Tony about any of it.
All we know for sure is that Steve had information about something extremely personal and important to Tony, and chose not to tell him.
>>82524863
This. They completely fucking nailed T'Challa, i couldn't believe it. A true wise king. The suit, the body type, the fighting style, everything was perfect. And Boseman nailed the personality and mannerisms. 11/10 T'Challa, can't wait for his movie.
>>82525207
You have to take it all in. You're simplifying Tony's pain. The movie starts with him dealing with the loss of his parents and talking about how it's still hard for him. He then gets put on the spot by a woman who lost her son because of Ultron. He then sees his friend become his enemy and believes Cap's brainwashed friend was still destroying lives.
And then Cap was trying to help him escape!
And then in the battle against his own pals, his best friend becomes a paraplegic.
So yeah, its very possibly in the heat of the moment after one of the most stressful events in his life, he would snapp realizing his parents killers was right in front of him and that the guy that he fought side by side with knew and was protecting his parent's killers all along.
>>82522148
I completely agree with you. I don't feel the movie has anything particularly bad in it to justify pointing it out in a thread, and I enjoyed it plenty - but it's being oversold to hell and back. I also felt the same with the WS when it came out, I liked it, then come home and see half the internet praising it like it's the new gospel. Maybe I'm getting old and jaded, but it just didn't have a big impact on me and I feel left out on this whole hype train, and that's even before the americans see this.
The fights were good though. I might rewatch it at home when it comes out just on account of that.I really need to get out of 4chan. I've been here too long and it definately had a negative impact on my brain.

I was floored at how sleek and cat-like they made his movements. And the vibranium suit was badass. Ever notice in the nuclear silo infiltration he was silent as fuck? Even Bucky and Cap made a bit of sound despite how quiet they were trying to be, but BP's suit allows him to move stealthy. I liked that subtle detail.
>>82525448
Fuck man, I'm really excited for the Black Panther movie.
>>82525448
Yea, i even discussed it with my friends about how awesome it is that they showed he's a master of stealth without telling you. Even out of his suit during his stairwell fight with Bucky he moved like a cat, especially when he landed. Hell, when he jumped to save T'chaka it looked like a panther leaped. Amazing choreography.

>>82525713
I see.
Interesting they didn't mention Frank Franking Out and literally killing bad guys.
That would have definitely driven the point home.
>>82525753
We've been over this. Arnim Zola told him that Hydra had killed the Starks in CATWS.
But as he said in this movie, he didn't know that it was specifically Bucky who did it (though many fans theorized it).
>>82525753
No it was the same in theaters.
>>82525764
Ross could have had a ton of arguments lined up by "faux heroes" who want to copy cat. The explosions over Hell's Kitchen, Frank mowing down people, Purple Mans mass mind control. Even if the avengers don't agree, the rest of the worlds super heroes need some checks and balances to keep heroism from degrading to vigilantism.
Honestly the Netflix shows set up the who discussion a lot better than the Avengers collateral
>>82525694
Nah, Thor likes Cap more than Tony and he'd probably support the whole "saving a brother-in-arms" thing.
>>82525791
The Phase 2 box set has lots of printed work and collectible stuff, it gives away that Bucky kills the Starks.
>>82525791
>>82525753
Steve didn't know it was Bucky specifically, but said "yes" when Tony pressed for a "yes" or "no".
Steve might have considered the possibility, but didn't want to go too deep into it. As far as he concern, Bucky is not guilty of his time as the winter soldier.
>>82513842
I thought it was great, it was everything AoU should have been and more.
Can't wait until /cotv/ turns it's back on it because quips or whatever the meme of the week is.
>>82525764
Frank is just a very prolific gunman.
Daredevil, to an observer, might as well be just a very athletic fighter.
JJ and Cage haven't had a lot of public exposure, especially with Killgrave having police records deleted and whatnot. At most, JJ could be notable by the incidents in the finale.
That said, any of them being mentioned as "costumed vigilantes" arising from the popularity of the Avengers could have been cool. Tony could have said something to Spidey. "You're not the only one going around fighting in your pijamas, you know. Not even the only one in New York".
>>82525870
He said "yes" as in he knew that Hydra had killed them, but he quickly specified that he didn't know it was Bucky
>>82525878
>>82525764
>>82525713
the main problem with the accord is really putting Ross in charge.
If it was Nick Fury or Coulson in control there would be a lot less problem.
>>82518432
Just like in the real world!
http://www.strawpoll.me/10143702
>>82525967
Yeah, but with Coulson and Fury being (officially) dead, it was either Ross or a new character.
Or, shudder to think, Glenn Talbot.
>>82522432
>Compares BvS to No Country For Old Men
C'mon, son.
>>82525368
>>82522148
Glad I'm not the only one. I enjoyed the shit out of the interactions and I found myself laughing a bunch of times but overall the film left me with a simple "ok"
>>82521007
Oh shit, the Super Best Friends are going to lose their god damn minds.
>>82524796
Yeah. I thought that line in the trailer was really cheesy and out of place back when I assumed it had something to do with the political conflict, but knowing the true context, that line really does hit hard.
>>82525953
>Did you know?
>I didn't know it was him
>Don't bullshit me, did you know?
>...Yes.
Zola didn't specifically say that WS killed the Starks, but he showed WS in the "when history didn't cooperate, history was changed" line immediately before showing Howard's death in the "accidents happen" line, along with Nick's, that definitely was WS's doing.
Steve got the message. He knew, or at least heavily suspected that Bucky killed the Starks.
I want the /tv/ posters to fuck off. Stop the memes, jack.
>>82526198
I stopped caring about their opinions on marvel when they shit on foggy
>>82526343
They got a shit ton of flak for it. So I'm not butthurt about it anymore.
If I had to stop following people for one shitty opinion they had I would have no friends or social life whatsoever.
>>82526343
They have the worst taste in comic stuff. Especially Matt, but then, he's the worst at everything.
>Howard and Maria's deaths
I had figured out who did it back in Winter Soldier but goddamn that was more brutal than I was expecting.
>>82526454
I honestly thought he just made them crash, not outright murder them.
>>82526454
Yea, the movie really has balls.
>WS places Howard against the car
>no dramatic cuts, music, slow motion, just caves in his fucking face in the same shot
I can only imagine how Tony felt.
>>82521475
>tfw no Jetstream Bucky.
>>82525247
>ANTics
hehe
The action with the big brawl was awesome. I was worried with the first few intial scenes that the fighting would have been more choppy and shaky like that but they really cleaned it up.
I hope they don't shoot those fight scenes like that anymore.
The Russos finally managed to crack the code and strike the right balance of action and jokes, the deserve a fucking Nobel Prize for that.
>>82526589
Yeah, the Crossbones fight looked like shit. I'm glad that was the only one that was shakycam.
>>82523340
It is easy to spot repeat watchers.
>>82526670
This. The movie was dark as fuck and still managed to have enough humor. The reason? All the right characters where the source of the humor and it was tasteful, well timed and under control. Unlike fucking AoU where Thor of all people starts spurting quips in the middle of combat.
>>82521443
Ultimate Falcon used a militarized drone for Redwing. As with many elements of the MCU, that's just another thing they took from Ultimates.
>>82520592
Essentially, Iron Man needed a way of quickly and safely apprehending the other Avengers, and Spider-Man's considerable speed and webbing makes him perfect for this role. Also his presence lightens the atmosphere of the battle since Stark originally wanted to "go easy on them".
Plus Tony supporting Peter's activities follows suit from his Ted Talk introduction - his guilt is driving him to invest in smart, virtuous young people as atonement for his own mistakes, partly caused by isolating himself and never processing his parent's deaths.
That's the most nuanced shoehorning in of Spider-Man we could have ever hoped for.
As for Ant-Man, he was supposed to help Cap's team infiltrate the Siberian base, but instead served as the distraction that allowed them to escape.
>>82526999
I loved Falcon from the Ultimates, I hope he gets a robot waifu again some day..
>>82526999
I'm curious, is the Wing-shield thing from any comic source too? The bird armor was just really sweet in the opening fight scenes.
>>82526999
Most of the things taken from Ultimates are purely aesthetic. Most MCU stuff is either 616-based or its own thing.
>>82523467
>He said the name Bucky, and suddenly I was a 16 year old again
>>82527036
>As for Ant-Man, he was supposed to help Cap's team infiltrate the Siberian base, but instead served as the distraction that allowed them to escape.
Yea, they were hoping to beat Zemo there. Thus a guy that can get into places and steal some stuff would have been helpful, also back up in a fight too. Fight was going down they wanted all the help they could get
Except Maria Hill's, Sharon Carters and Wasps. Captain America refuses to risk American women.
>>82514392
>dat scarlet witch cleavage tho
Holy shit
>>82527251
>powers and costumes from Ultimates
>character persinalities from 616
Best of both worlds.
Although I think Thor in the MCU would have been more interesting if they ither dropped most of the Earth storyline for more high fantasy adventure OR dropped most of the Asgard stuff to make him like Ultimate Thor, who used to be human and may or may not be a crazy messiah.
I wonder what role Tony's going to play in Spider-Man Homecoming. I'm hoping it's more than just a cameo but less than him coming in and stealing the show.
Half of me really wants to see him try and become a father figure to Peter, and half of me would prefer if Norman took this role, making his eventual turn into the Goblin all the more tragic.
>>82524068
He had no rational reason to be mad in the first place.
When did Cap find out that Buck killed Howard and Maria? It was never said.
>>82527488
He probably put two and two together when he learned Hydra was behind their deaths.
>>82527488
When computer-Zola revealed Hydra's presence in TWS, an article of Howard Stark's death is shown. So black widow knew about it too...
>>82527488
Read the thread.
It's been asked and explained several times.
>>82527251
Yeah, it tends to be the Ultimate aesthetics with the 616 personalities. Like MCU Hawkeye is Ultimate Hawkeye's background and look (assassin, SHIELD agent, has a wife and kids) but with 616 Hawkeye's more jovial but cocky attitude.
MCU Fury has Ultimate Fury's looks but lacks Ultimate Fury's completely irredeemable dirtbag personality.
>>82527529
Speaking of Fury, why the hell wasn't he in Civil War? They didn't even namedrop him.
>>82527647
ikr, Ultron made it clear that SHIELD is back in business, why weren't they brought up at all throughout this entire debacle? You think they would have had some involvement with the Soccovia Accords
>>82527708
Whedon brought Shield back, and the Russos fixed that mistake so that it'd fit in line with their TWS.
>>82527708
They did, that's why Sharon Carter was there.
>>82527708
I like to think only the bare essential aspects of AoU are being considered canon
>>82527802
What are you talking about? Practically the entire plot of Age of Ultron was essential to Civil War. The only thing that was oddly absent was any mention of Quicksilver.
>>82527830
I remember Marc Bernardin (Kevin Smith's black buddy) saying that Civil War felt like an apology for AoU. In some sense it's true.
>>82527772
>>82527802
This is what I was worried about when the MCU became a thing. You can either strictly limit the scale of each film's crisis or deal with contradictions.
>>82527647
>>82527708
Personally I think Fury would have been too much of a distraction. He would inevitably have to cast his 'vote' in favor of one side or another and given his status that side would be given more weight.
>>82527979
Once again, read: >>82527915
>>82525321
Think it will start with a Kree invasion of sorts? With Mar-Vell?
>>82526963
It was like Empire Strikes Back, a ton of humor but properly handled.
>>82527525
She handed the file on Winter Soldier to Steve at the end too. Shit, did Fury know too?
>>82528128
You mean that really old movie?
>>82528281
Everybody but Stark knew
>>82528044
I think so.
Start of the movie
Danvers is in the new Stark/NASA station monitoring everything with her captain, secretly Mar-Vel on a mission to detect Thanos' movements/plays
Kree invade looking for him, calling him a traitor and use the soul gem to try and wipe out the whole station, but Mar-Vel sacrifices himself, and the gem blasts Carol with his DNA
Found out that Mar-Vel knew Thanos was coming because there were two stones on Earth(Vision and Strange), but no one knows that that means. Thor arrives and reveals it is now 3(with the invasion) and gives the needed expose on the stones and Thanos.
Carol dons the mantle or Captain Marvel to honor MarVels sacrifice
The avengers have to battle Thanos and his kree army and ultimately lose two stones, but manage to force him off planet
