So anons, you've been put in charge of a post-Infinity War Zemo movie. All the MCU Villains and heros are alive again because muh reality gem.
Do you do Thunderbolts or Masters of Evil?
Who's on your team?
How do you give him a sword, coat and purple hood?
>>
>>82417178
I prefer Avengers 2
>>
>>82417428
Thunderbolts with Bucky leading. End of Infinity War 1 has Cap dying and through bullshit he briefly comes back to life in 2, Bucky tells him that he wants to take over the mantle and Cap tells him that he doesn't trust him to, instead giving the mantle to Falcon. Bucky gets pissed and becomes an anti-hero and leads the thunderbolts.
>>
>>82417063
Either this or Winter Soldier, yes.
>>
>>82417467
More like Cap or somebody asks Bucky to take it up and he turns it down because he doesn't want to deal with the pressure.

I could see Zemo leading the Thunderbolts without real intentions of redemption and Bucky ends up kicking his ass and taking over.
>>
>>82417467
Bucky is too riddled with self-doubt for that to happen.
>>
>>82417595
Yeah but is Sebastian Stan charismatic enough to pull off a lead character? From what I understand he's the shy guy who gets bullied a lot on set for being quiet.
>>
>>82417428
>How do you give him a sword, coat and purple hood?
He tries to escape, Ross shoot him in the face with a shotgun or a missile, now he's deformed, and he has to wear the purple mask.

The sword is a vibranium sword he stole from Wakanda with the help of Klaw.

The Thunderbolts rooster is: Zeemo, Klaw, Bullseye (If we got him in DD S3 or in Defenders), Mitchell Carson with a Antman suit and some minor villain from Spiderman reboot

>>

We know he was cold and absent much of his life, and put Tony down so he could wank off about Cap. The tie-in comics imply he was also physically abusive at times but we don't know if they count as canon.

- Guardians of the Galaxy

- The Avengers
>>

People change over time. Howard was a good friend and loyal to Cap, not so much a good father,
>>
I'am tired of characters with daddy issues. Also, What are the writers problems with the fathers? I can barely think of any character with mommy issues. Its the dad all the fucking time
>>
>>82419345
I think that was the point. IM2 sets him up as a jerk who means well, but is still a big jerk. Then in Cap 1 he's a super chill guy. The contrast is supposed to hit you hard. Although Agent Carter went a little more into him and his problems.

Yeah from now on I'm going to just see the movies from people I already like or the major ones. So Civil War, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Infinity War for sure. Does CW and WS basically confirm the Russos are better than Whedon?
>>
>>82419813
For that time it was one of the best superhero movies. Sure then we got TWS and GotG and Ant-Man and now Civil War, which you can arguably say they're much better. For 2012 though and at that time in the MCU, Avengers was really good.

Hell, I'd say it's still one of the better superhero movies. We tend to forget there's shit like Elektra/Catwoman/GL/Fantastic Four and others out there, Avengers is a masterpiece compared to those when it comes to the cape genre.

The Russos are better at outsourcing the action scenes to more talented choreographers, plus Markus and McFeely have always been good about being economical and packing a lot of characterization per line so even bit characters like the SHIELD tech who returned in AoU and the redshirts who got wiped out by Bucky in the previous movie would leave a strong impression.

Nah man. Watch everyone fighting in the background in AoU. Whedon's looks like rockem sockem bots.

I'll agree that the Russos don't have the best cinematography/CGI in this movie, but I think that was more of a budget (it had more varied effects and less sponsors than AoU), but Whedon isn't any better. Heck, Avengers 1 looks like shit. It looks like a tv-crew is filming it.

The Russos might be the worst at it from the phase 3 lineup, but they are better than Whedon for sure.

Gunn is the other way around. His cinematography is gorgeous but his fights are meh.

"Cap, you're coming with us."

Damn. I was team cap but this movie really made me like Stark a lot more. He knew how fucked the situation was with Ross in charge and just wanted everything to be okay for the people he saw as family, even if they hated him. Hawkeye's "sick burn" actually felt really harsh, considering Stark was entirely right about Clint knowing the consequences.

I went in thinking FINALLY we're going to see Stark get his smug face kicked in, and at the end, I just wanted to give him a hug. Fuck... I really hope he gets a bit of a recovery arc in Homecoming through bonding with Peter.
>>
>>82420482
I wonder just how much of the action is the characters themselves? I remember a video for The Winter Soldier where it was mentioned Chris Evans had to do a lot of them because it's hard for the stuntmen to imitate his weird running style, and Sebastian Stan mentioned working on practicing the crazy knife stunts in his own time.

notice how these were deliberate attacks on the Avengers. Any assault on innocent civilians would be completely against her morals. Tony could've done anything for all she cared as long as it fucked the team. The Hulk was more likely to either A) take him out or B) turn him against them. There's no way she would've known he would've turned and went straight for the city, and if you honestly think she would've done that with the knowledge he would or even intending for him to do so, you don't fucking get Wanda.

You end up feeling really sympathetic for Stark because you can tell he wants things to be okay so badly. He's standing there fucking whispering under his breath before the air port fight 'come on Cap, come on' pleading with Steve to back down, while Cap is uncompromising and composed as ever. He seemed so tired and pitiful, old of a sudden.

Don't misquote me, you moron.

I said that the Russos are the worst at cinematography, but they aren't bad at all. Definitely better than Joss "slow pan" Whedon. Coogler is amazing at it, Waititi is amazing at it, Gunn is amazing at it. Watts and Reed are good and I don't know how Derrickson will be, but it looks great so far.

Gunn wouldn't know how to handle 12-20 main characters. There's a lot more to this than just looking good. Avengers is the worst looking besides maybe Thor 1 and it's in the top tiers of their movies.

Stop being a contrarian faggot and pretend that's all there is to it, Zack.

Her powers are tied to her emotions and they feed into each other. Her arc is about understanding her powers and her emotions because she needs to do both in order to gain control.

She also needs purpose and something that is her own, which she does not have and has not had since her parents died.

we know they are gonna get together anyway, Cap tried to help Bucky escape yet Bucky is kinda imprisoned anyway because he realizes he is actually dangerous, Cap talks about responsability for their own actions yet he doesn't think they should be in prison eventhough they destroyed a whole airport in an internal dispute between the avengers, he even helps those escape he involved anyway eventhough they had nothing to do with it and had their own lifes and family. In the fight in the middle they weren't that serious and Wanda can literally control many people at the same time like she did to evacuate Secovia, Vision was mostly flying around doing nothing, Cap talks about facing consecuences for his own actions yet they never did in any moment, they just keeped going, which was even mentioned by Zemo when he talked about his families death. It feels like I watched a fanservice episode of any series, an enjoyable one, a filler nevertheless.

Thor 2 was great. The only downside was the final villain fight but MCU in general has disappointing final villains anyway so meh.

Besides that, the whole movie was enjoyable. Thor was showing genuine character growth and personality and you could tell his experiences from previous movies had an effect on him. Loki's performance was outstanding as was his dialogue with Thor. Thor's mother's death was done well too.

I honestly don't even remember the Jane/earth stuff. Probably because it wasn't in the movie very much.
And by the way you guys are being very hypocritical talking shit about the Jane group stuff while /co/ in general loves the Ant-Man wombats which I found ten times more annoying than Jane's gang.
>>
>>82422195
It's a matter of engagement/landing jokes. I have nothing against jokes, but Darcy's gang really clashed with the overall tone they managed to actually achieve otherwise.

The wombats were another comedy thing in a comedic movie, so it was pretty great.

I don't think the movie is truly bad or anything, but it's definitely within the bottom of the MCU for me. I mean, more power to you, but realize that nobody here will agree with you.
>>
>>82417063
I went into it fully supporting Cap and hoping the manlet got what was coming to him.

By the end I was on Iron Man's side. He did literally nothing wrong. Fuck Bucky, he should have just died in Winter Soldier and nothing bad would have happened. Also Cap fucked up by not telling Tony the truth.

What a fucking great movie though. The story was so well written it actually made me do a complete 180 on who I supported. Besides the shitty cgi, it's definitely the best marvel movie since Iron Man 1. It might be even better.

I didn't see it that way at all. He was struggling with the fact that he would have to settle down to be a proper ruler while also struggling with his psychotic brother. He wasn't all party mode or "MUH JANE" mode which I thought was a good addition to his character growth.

The Ant-Man jokes in general? Yes, I wholeheartedly agree.
The wombats? Absolutely not.

I actually rewatched Ant-Man last night and the same thing happened during the first time I watched it in the cinema: The only Wombat jokes I laughed at were Luiz first picking up Scott from prison and also when he was telling the long story to Scott for the first time and Scott said he was telling the wrong details.

Perhaps, but whether it was the fault of Hemsworth or the writing, I'm completely unable to recall almost anything about Thor's arc in that film. No one was fighting to kill and Tony just wanted him to keep his distance and shoot webs everywhere.

I despise IM2 so fucking much, it's so boring and feels so out of place in every way.
Whiplash was done so badly I think they had to kill him off in the vomics too or something.
The only good thing about it is that 10 minute scene with Tony and Rhodey fighting the Drones.
And that's it.
Even Hammer was butchered in terms of character, I feel.
