time for comeuppance
Best part of Civil War coming up imo
or at least, most satisfying
why isn't he wearing his costume?
>>82359586
He's already revealed his face to the world and he's extra mad so I guess he didn't bother putting it on
>>82359819
oh boy :]
Is this the event that ends with Peter selling his marriage to Mephisto?
Is this when Slott takes over Spider-Man and ruins his life forever?
>>82359878
This is before that.
>>82359819
I was still at school when this story came out. I was so excited. Fuck myself and my edgy adolescence.
>>82359957
There's nothing wrong with that, I love seeing Spidey being a brutal motherfucker who ain't afraid of punishing bad guys like they deserve.
This story alongside Origin of the Species are some of the best Spidey moments in my book.
Oh nice, ASM 539 was the first comic book I ever bought. Got JMS to sign it for me at a con a couple years ago. He didnt seem too happy.
>>82359886
Straczynski may be the fucking hack that wrote Sins Past, but everything he wrote after that, i.e. The Other and this, they're too fuvking good.
Slott took over Spidey after this storyline, didn't he? I can't even remember who wrote OMD anymore.
>>82359782
how did the webbing last so long?
>>82360344
Natural webbing.
He got it after The Other storyline.
>>82360425
I really hate MJ. Am I a bad person?
>>82360458
You hate her from the reboot or even before?
>>82360458
Storytime over, Quesada here ruined my mood
>>82360527
I've never really liked her character and even though I know she's inextricably tied to Spidey I kinda wish someone else was the main spider waifu
>>82360556
That place belonged to Gwen, until some fucking hack decided it'd be a good idea to kill her.
>>82360598
I hate when writers make snap decisions like that
>>82360531
Damn it you fiend! This was a great time! Cant you continue?
>>82360638
I hate when writers make "snap" decisions like that
Carlos is that you?
>>82360531
Shit, you weren't joking.
>>82360458
Fucking hell, dude.
>>82360638
It was a good story and a major failure for Peter. If this had happened to Mj there would be others to complain.
>>82360666
>>82360700
Just kidding, I've seen people do that though.

This page's great

Why the fuck does kingpin suddenly think he stands a chance against Spider-Man in a one on one fight?
>>82361174
I still can not believe this fattass wants to face Spider-man in a 1v1 battle. It's an assisted suicide, literally.
>>82361213
>>82361278
i think the original plan was to attack spidey with all the prisioners but they were to scared of peter after seen him to do something.
hoo boy
I love reading the beat down every tim. Never gets old
>>82361309
That's not a good plan either.
>>82361213
>>82361309
>>82361278
Yeah, this; you can see it in the pages. Kingpin calls Spider-Man weak in front of everyone and express solidarity with them against him, then mocks him. He still expects Spidey to basically back down and then pull his punches when he gets mobbed.
Note that his grandstanding and goads get more desperate as he goes on.
Then look at the expressions on the prisoners when Spidey takes his mask off. Peter gets the crowd on his side by expressing violent, ruthless desires and makes a chump out of the grandstanding theatrical guy. Themes, man.
>>82361586
What're you looking at?
>Nothing
>>82361892
Again, that's still a retarded plan.
Fisk is supposed to be "smart", how did he think that would be any threat to spider-man? Is it because he doesn't know Spidey holds back when playing with him? No idea, but it's still dumb.
>>82362067
Prides goes before a fall, anon.
It's time!
I actually don't have One More Day
>>82362067
Back in Black is great for seeing Peter cut loose, but there's not too much in sense going on in most of the characters' heads, including Peter. They're all jackasses in some way or another in this one, but it's still a decent read.
Thanks for reading
Thanks OP
Thanks for sharing. Miss married Peter.
>>82362465
I fucking hate this panel even though this one shot is one of my favorite comics. I always felt Pete is type of a guy who would listen Jazz. He's a New Yorker for fuck's sake.
>>82361792
Kingpin, historically, has a horrible track record of underestimating how dangerous a man can be when you've taken everything from him. You'd think he would have learned from what he did to Daredevil that trying to break a dude that fights crime in tights is a surefire way to get your shit pushed in.
>>82360222
Straczynski's also the guy who wrote the original Morlun story, isn't he?

I've always loved spider-man, and since coming to /co i've heard all the shit about how if he stopped messing around and playing games just how deadly he could be but I've never read a comic where it happened. Besides this I've seen the one where he's looking for that baby and beating the shit out of all New York's criminals.I dont know about anyone else but this one takes the fucking cake
