Right now now the status of the known villains is questionable: Who knows where Salem is, Cinder was flashed, Mercury and Emerald were no where to be seen and Neo flew off.
I think it might be necessary to add some new villains because I always felt that Salem possibly had more people serving under her than Cinder. Ozpin had several people working directly under him, so why wouldn't she?
Salem seems like Final Boss material, and those guys always have a number of guys working under them. I wouldn't be surprised if we had scene where Salem talks to her own shadow council at some point.

I'm very confident that one way or another, Emerald and Mercury are back in Haven, be it because of Cinder or of their own choice, so I'm expecting them to meet RNJR at some point.
Cinder's last scene is strange, because it's just her screaming angrily while the screen goes black. They said Qrow was able to get Ruby from the top of the tower, but no mention was made if he saw her up there, only that the dragon was "stopped". That whole thing is kind of weird to me because the problem isn't necessarily solved, just put on pause. I'm actually hoping that they lay off Cinder for a bit to set up another villain, who is another servant of Salem.
Neo is an unknown. She was created soley to give Roman support, and not that he's gone, she's up in the air, literally too, as to what her role can be.
I doubt it will be a while before we really get anything with Salem, but I want to say that the characters will be at least aware of her existence by the end of the volume.

I don't think I have the most a precise perception of VA quality, since they all sound at least passable to me, yet a lot of people seem to disdain Nigri's VA work (although I have seen at least one other person saying they like her voice, I swear).

Pyrrha's semblance depends on her environment and her opponents. There has to be some kind of limit to it. Its probably very draining to lift very heavy things or she has to lock onto her target(probably couldn't grab fast moving targets). Her semblance won't help her much against Grimm. Glynda's semblance is literally better.
Penny is basically a mage and her weapons are controlled by those little wires so she can just be disarmed by cutting those.
I feel like over time, semblances get stronger as the person develops or uses them. Essentially reaching some kind of higher level. Pyrrha probably mastered her semblance which is why she could lift the gears. I would imagine everybody else will eventually reach a high point with their own, making Pyrrha's not broken by comparison

Regardless, it would be a tactical blunder if Salem were to lose some of her best assets with Cinder being gone, just because they didn't know about her. It would be in Salem's interest to have some way of contacting them, should Cinder be incapacitated or something.

One a more serious tone, who is the holder of the title of which we commonly refer to as "The One"?
This title is presumably only held by a single person at any given point in time, and we are lead to believe it is one of the characters that we already know of. The popular belief leads one to believe it is either Mercury Black or Emerald Sustrai, but does the history of the title end there?
This title may have existed since the beginning of time or the beginning of mankind, but that questioned cannot be answered. Were there previous holders of the title, and if so who were they so that they were able to withhold it? There is the possibility that it is gained thru killing the holder and usurping it, much like the seasonal powers were taken by Cinder. If this is so, then perhaps Mercury's father was "The One", Cinder was searching for him before learning of Mercury's existence. Cinder doesn't search for people with little or no reason, and this might just be that reason.
Furthermore, there is the possibility that along with this title comes certain attributes or gifts, or it is the other way around and the one with the attributes or gifts gains the title thru the means of holding said things.
Hopefully Volume 4 will elaborate more on these issues.

This isn't a complaint about the realism, which is where people always try to take it when this comes up. It's that Yang's style of fighting is filled with periods of time where everything has to slow down in the interest of a really shitty looking roundhouse kick.
The production team on RWBY really does not get how to make that shit look fast and smooth. Or remotely balanced.
So you always have to have a onesided beatdown or really obvious periods of time where the model being attacked is doing nothing.

It will come to a point where the series is more theirs than Monty's. There will come a point where they'll completely run pit of Monty's ideas. There we come a point where they no longer mourn Monty.
There will also come a time when the Monty ideas begin to run dry and start to lose viewer, and they need do dumb shit to bring them back. And one cheap and often successful attention grabber is the death and return story trope.
This has happened in the past when dead creators leave unfinished projects behind and it will continue to happen.
