The BEE plot was actually interesting for once (this actually had four separate plots). There wasn't any pointless crying, and the emotional stuff wasn't the focus of the episode and dealt with in a way that let Ollie and Felicity do something besides fighting. Every character felt useful and contributed in some way (well, except Diggle), and the dialogue was funny again and on point.
This is easily the best episode since S2. Fuck, can we just get more Flash villains that they aren't using? What's Mark Hamill doing?

As for the episode, I found it unbelievably shit. The pun delivery was cringeworthy, the former MC a useless little bitch and Felicity's personality gets rewritten to suit whatever the writers think will make her sympathetic in the eyes of tumblr. The complete 180 to Mother Theresa from where she was last episode isn't character "growth", it's character replacement and fishing for likes.

That was fun. The situation getting worse and worse throughout the episode only for the heroes to prevail at the end is very reminiscent of season 2 (Arrow's best season by a LONG shot).
Also, I know it's been said but needs to be said again. Thea and Laurel have completely 180'd from being the worst characters on the show to being the most enjoyable to watch. Still miss Roy. Enough of Darhk to show the heroes have won but not entirely.
Fucking hate Felicity. Her whole stance on this issue seems to change the more she explains it. Also stop with the island. The island flashbacks should've stopped in season 1. If each season equates to a year, he's been on that hellish island for 4 out of 5 years and he's no closer to being the Hood we saw in season 1. That was the whole point of the flashbacks to begin with right? To skip the origin story while also maturing the character after his rescue? Or am I giving them too much credit here?

The Olicity 'fans' are one of the many examples of how social media is a detriment to our culture as a whole. Social media and the easy access of the internet has completely devastated the television business. People nowadays want and need their source of entertainment at the drop of a hat. With the leaking of spoilers and teaser trailers, nothing seems to be as exciting as it was back in the day when you actually had to wait a week (or in the case of a season finale a few months) to find out what happens in your favorite programs. With the advent of social media, people have practically hands on access to these actors and actresses. And I know, someone is going to try and rebut this point by saying:

but that still doesn't give someone the right to harass a person just for (in their opinion) a poor performance in a show or how a character is portrayed.
