Man, I really wish they would stop treating blaster bolts like stun blasts.
I get that the shells of the spider things might be stronger than even high end armor, thus not being hurt except by eye shots.
But ship blasters, seriously? What are those spiders made of?
It doesn't ring true, especially as they can usually take out TIEs, and in TFA we see a typical dialed-up TIE blaster hitting like mortar explosions.
It makes it a clusterfuck when trying to figure out the abilities of ships and blasters as a whole. It's sad when them having 'power settings' is about the only way to justify the differing showings.

I really like how the names of people in Star Wars always have some sort of meaning to their personality.

Anon, the Knights themselves are barely in the movie and the ones we do see, in that image posted, we can't see much of them. Only the non-traditional weapons stand out.
As for your second point, what was it you meant to say? You don't think the Knights of Ren are trained in how to use their weapons? You only think such weapons are effective against untrained Lightsaber users? Because they're surely very much trained, especially in anti-Jedi tactics given how much Snoke feared the Jedi, maneuvered to kill them, and wants, beyond all else, Luke not to return and make more Jedi. We've seen DROIDS with lightsaber resistant weapons defeating Jedi. This is like the whole crossguard bitching all over again. People swore it could never work, would be a threat to the user, but there was zero probability it wouldn't be shown to be anything other than kickass awesome and effective. They didn't have the exact location or the hyperspace route there. It would all be guesswork that could easily lead them into a black hole or the middle of a sun or planet.
Also, I think it was in the Unknown Regions anyways. Unless they were able to get into the Jedi Archives and get any of the decades-old security codes the Jedi had and knew Luke was at the First Jedi Temple(can't remember if this was stated in-film), they wouldn't find where Luke was.

I thought about that myself however it's not just what >>81026460 said, but the fact that that one conveniently shaped section still represents a fair sized chunk of the galaxy. So hundreds or thousands of potential stars and countless worlds orbiting each one, and given this is some ancient super Jedi Temple it could be a floating station in the void or in some Force Space Pocket like Mortis.
Their only other recourse beyond finding the map was going to where Luke entered the unknown area, trying to follow a straight line hoping he never changed course (which he did) or just stopping on random worlds and asking people if they've seen a sad looking dude in a bathrobe. Good luck, that'll take for fucking ever.

The other anon's point is that lightsabers aren't unstoppable and non-lightsaber weapons work against them. Geonosian sonic guns worked super weapon against them too because their cone of attacks that can't be blocked or deflected. All of those quirky weapons may have anti-Jedi properties. We simply just do not know.

And? This is so mind-boggingly simple. I don't know why I'm the only one who sees this. A jedi is someone who is part of the jedi order. Kylo Ren is not part of the jedi order. Therefore, he is not a jedi. The Knights of Ren are not part of the jedi order, therefore, they are not fucking jedi. They are their own god damned thing. I should not have to explain this.

You're obviously stumbling on the concept of duality and degrees. It seems like you suffer from a very binary frame of mind where something can only be 1 or 0 with nothing in between, only the one state or the other.
Or you're just being very pedantic about what they call themselves. Let me try to ease you into this. A Dark Jedi is an individual trained as a Jedi who has fallen to the Dark Side. They still have all their old training and teachings but have broken with key doctrines and become something more. Becoming something more than what they were, however, doesn't mean they get rid of everything they were. So a corrupted Jedi has a foundation of a Jedi. A Night Sister is something entirely different and Ventress, trained as a Jedi and then given Sith training and doctrine on top of that, would have never been entirely the same as her sisters who were raised only on the Night Sister faith. Her Certain Point of View is changed by what she was which is still a part of who she is, regardless of what she calls herself or group she affiliates with. For instance she uses a lightsaber with all her previous Jedi and Sith training whereas her sisters do not.
So in this manner the Knights of Ren being corrupted Jedi can be quite significant and tell you quite a bit about what they may be capable of. If they are truly some previously unknown group they may be complete wild cards. The Night Sisters, for instance, are quite different and strange in how they use the Force. Others, like the Dagoyan Masters, are completely passive in their use of the Force with no significant powers beyond visions. It's safe to say whatever the Knights of Ren are they are hardly that benign.
