It made me want to become a cop.
I'm very happy to see how well this movie is performing. Good morals too; work hard to achieve your goals, don't discriminate, cops are good.Wouldn't it be amazing if this turns out to be the next Disney classic?
It'd be nice, but all I know is that bunny and fox are absurdly cute together. I really can't wait for the blu ray to come out so we can get a nice HD shot of that one frame near the end at the concert where Judy bounces up and down happy as fuck while she and Nick look at each other. That one frame just captures everything you need to know about them at that point in time, really nice stuff.
Farmgirl Judy best Judy.

I wonder how a bunny raised in a countryside would taste...
>>81014094
Wait, what's the difference between plaid, flannel, tartan, or whatever?
>>81015371
Plaid is the pattern, flannel is a material. Not sure about tartan.
>>81015391
Tartan is the Scottish term for the pattern where the pattern originated. This pattern is called plaid in the US, but in Scotland a plaid is a shoulder sash to go with a kilt or a plain blanket.

>work hard to achieve your goals
And if a couple of miracles happens, you won't even be casually shot down by people intending to destroy your career because of bureaucratic politics.
>don't discriminate
"Oh, now you are saying that sloths are SLOW?"
>cops are good.
The only cop in the movie who is concerned about serving the public, had to work with a ruthess Mafia don to achieve any positive result (and that don now probably believes she owes him).
Zootopia is a cynical film-noir in a bright Disney package.
>>81011364
I think it's strong to become a classic. It was really good.

Hey /co/. I made a character popularity poll. I'm looking into making some Zootopia themed items for an upcoming craft fair and if you would like to help me please vote on which characters you would most like to see merch of if you were to attend such an event:

>made me want to become a cop
Where do you live? Becoming a cop is incredibly easy depending on what state you're in. Most states only require you have some kind of high school diploma or equivalent and can pass basic physical fitness exercises.
It's not a lofty goal by any means if you're not lazy.
Surprised we haven't seen a parody of this movie yet. Thinking I'll make a request in a drawthread for it.

Which borough/district would you like to live in? I would say either Southeast Savanna Central, with those nice suburban homes, or Sahara Square, because it looks like one big Hotel Resort. Tundratown seemed kinda comfy too though.
>>81022059
On the one hand, I love the rain, but the rainforest district is probably balmy as shit.
I wonder if there's a region between Tundratown and the Rainforest Distrcit that's just a temperate rainforest.
I'd want to live there, lots of rain, but not stupid hot.

We know that they try to include the scene where Judy introduces Nick to her parents.
We also know that the scene where Nick got naked in the Oasis might have been cut. (Handbook says yes, in the scene when they exit he is tying his tie anew)
Anything else that we can guess might be on there?

The cops weren't that great at first. They were dicks at first. You shouldn't have to save the day to have people like you, but that's the only Judy could have won them over.
Also "don't trust your government" can be added to the list of morals seeing as we don't get a single positive impression of it.

It's hot. And humid. Very humid. The air feels very heavy. You don't know where your sweat stops and the condensation on your skin begins. It's hard to breathe. Your body already wants to exhale but it feels like you need more oxygen. The air feels like it's not moving - usually because it isn't. You can hear the canopy leaves above rustling and can see the treetops move but none of that fresh breeze ever gets down to you.
That's how a rainforest feels.

I'm quite certain it opens on the judy's left side, see the seam by the neck that turns under the armour. It doesn't go anywhere however, as the seam down below turns into the seam along the arms...

>>81022264
You're almost there, but there's a few small issues. So a few, I guess, notes, with pictures form where I'm getting the thought.
I think her lower legs are a little too beefy on your model. But it's hard to tell.
The heel of her "boot" is much more of a guard in the movie, along with all the other little adornments on them.
Her collar isn't a solder piece like that, rather there is material that comes infront, almost like a button up shirt. You have stitching that pretends to be that, but it's also going the wrong way. Women's clothing buttons on the left, not the right.
The camo pattern on her pouches, as well as their threading, is much more pronounced in renders.
And you've also made her badge too thick, and it looks to me that the neck line of her vest should be steeper than you have yours.
There's additional stitching on the gloves that you're missing.
Well done, but how ready for animation is it?
>>81022822
Maybe eventually we will see her without the vest on.
>>81022860
He was upset because she brought in the biology part of it instead of just stating that while yes, all the afflicted animals were predators, they didn't have any evidence supporting why. She was speculating based on a stereotype.
>>81022819

I would like to see both of them have to go somewhere fancy. Undercover, if the plot needs it. Judy feeling awkward in a long, slinky dress. Nick feeling suave as fuck in his new tux.

Oh, thanks for the critique! There is a lot of useful stuff there. I agree with pretty much everything you've said anyways.
I got the collar seam on the wrong side because it seems I used a mirrored reference image... but that is an easy fix.
I think it will animate well for the most part. It looks like the only part that will be difficult is the head, and we'll see. I may have to overhaul some of the topology if it doesn't pan out. Their model is very expressive, so it won't be easy.

I do hope they cover more of Nick's issues.
They didn't really resolve that on the gondola scene. Nick tries to get out of the fact he just opened up to Judy, and Judy totally fucking knows it and tries to get more.
If it weren't for the fact that Nick had a revelation about how to continue the case, that scene probably would have gone differently.
>>81023107
what are you using, by the way? I know that in some programs you can project your topology over the model, if you could show a picture of that it would be great.
For a suggestion for the collar, make it it's own mesh and just sit it ontop of her model. You'll easily get the flap look and won't have to throw anything away from what you've modeled and textured so far. The "flap" should line up exactly with the stitching around the collar you already have.Just ignore anything I say about reducing your poly count, I'm still too used to game modeling.

Zootopia 2: The shitty Aladdin ripoff version
>A new player rolls up into town and starts shaking things up in the underworld, apparently planning something big. Judy and Nick are the first ones to catch the trail and start digging, but things get messy when it turns out the new kid on the block is Nick's dad, who walked out on his mom back when Nick was barely walking. Bogo decides that Nick is too close to the case, despite not really knowing the guy, and reassigns him to something more mundane. Initially Judy tries to stay partnered with Nick but he insists that she stays on the case, seeing as she's the "best cop in the city". They get new partners, Judy is determined to solve things as soon as she can so things can go back to normal, while Nick is disheartened and unsure of what to do about his father.
>Eventually he starts investigating things himself, off the record so that he can try and avoid issues with Bogo. Finnick helps out a little, but before long they wind up crossing paths with Judy again. Despite how much trouble he could get it, she agrees to let him keep working the case and they hang out more and more in their off time, growing even closer than when they were official partners.
>Things come to a head and Nick finally confronts his father, with Judy in tow. He tries to explain away why he left and offers for Nick to help him on his big plan to take over the Zootopia criminal scene, creating their own illegal empire together.
>Nick is forced to choose between a man he doesn't know offering him a ton of money, or a bunny offering him some sweet handholding action. It's not a hard choice. This is the most generic shit ever and I hope if there's a sequel Disney can pull something much better together.

i hope you mean that in the buzzwordy sense. not in the sense of 'don't tell the difference between two things that are different and judge them if one of them is worse than the other'
>>81023879
all we know is that it's the directors headcanon that Nick had a single mom.
>>81018353
>>81023532
It's up to 40% fresh, but even the reviews counted as fresh seemed less impressed with it than the reviews that were counted rotten for Zootopia.
Anyone have that picture that shows how Nick's spotify playlist and Judy's apparently were designed to compliment one another's with the songs? There was some detailed breakdown that someone did and I'm honestly thinking that was borderline conspiracy theory nut- tier, but if the creators ACTUALLY did that on purpose...
Just fuck, man. How can one love be this perfect.
>>81023896
Not op, but the movie did state that everyone is different and sucks in their own way.
So, probably.
>>81023868
I remember you, you poor fool, you really did make a terrible bet.
>>81023924
>the play lists were made by the actors.
>Goodwin just picked songs she liked
>Bateman picked songs to make it seem like Nick wanted the bun
>>81023314
I use Blender. I can use snapping for re-topology easily enough. My main worry is that I'd probably have to redo the hair If I change anything too much, which I've done most the setup work for, but still would take a while.
>inb4 the topology near the corners of the mouth is horrible.
Yeah, I know. I was to lazy to fix that earlier, hopefully it isn't a huge issue.
I'm actually more of a game modeler myself, so this is a project to brush up some hair particle skills.
>>81023570
I haven't curved the ears, as I'll just use the rig for that. As for their placement, I will certainly edit that.
The cheek is pronounced, but that is just because it is in an average position rather then a relaxed posture. The brow definitely needs to be fixed though, including the eyebrow shape and color.
I'd turned off most of the long hairs for that render, as they aren't done, but it does need some lengthening overall I suppose.
Rest of it I agree with outright.
Thanks for the feedback, it is very useful.
I'm kinda afraid of watching this movie. I have that problem where you get into this mentality of how much you love a fictional world and you completely immerse yourself in it for an extended period of time. You do nothing but talk about it with other people watch stuff relating to it, but eventually come down with this crippling depression because it's not real.
>>81017991
Tumblr is over there, sweetie

I don't always let myself be optimistic, but when I do, I set myself up to fail.Or win by miracle

No. I can't do it for myself.I must do it for her!
>>81018353
Fuck, I really wish I could draw.Any artfag wanna do me a solid? Just draw a tubby bear that's about 6'3 wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Just a friendly, lovable looking dude.
I'm going to catch the movie with some of my college friends when I get back from spring break to avoid the awkwardness of seeing a Disney film alone, but my younger stepsister saw it this weekend and she's been talking about nothing but her ocs and her fanfiction ideas ever since.
It's cute and I'm happy to see her getting so excited over something since it reminds me of how much I would obsess over cartoons when I was her age, but she's also drawn upwards of fifteen different sketches of her self-insert furry holding hands with Judy or going on dates and I'm not sure what to make of that
>>81018353

Worst bet I ever made was that Avatar would win best picture over the Hurt Locker.
5 bucks I'm never getting back, but it seemed like such a sure thing at the time to me
>>81023715
>>81023757
It might be no.1 it's first weekend but bad word of mouth is going to take effect sooner than later, and I sure as fuck don't My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 the top spot anytime soon.

>The only cop in the movie who is concerned about serving the public, had to work with a ruthess Mafia don to achieve any positive result (and that don now probably believes she owes him).
He's the godmother to his daughter and the namesake, as well as the savior of her life.
She's a made woman.

I wonder if we're gonna have a second wind on our hands here. One of the major reasons for Frozen's second coming was because 1 month after it's release, you had all the families wanting to see Christmas movies, and despite having fuck all to do with the holidays, people swarmed the to the nearest movie with snow in it. I hope that now, with all the kids on spring break, the same thing happens with families because of "muh bunnies on Easter".
Here's to 1 Billion /co/.
>>81024096Anon, you are falling for disney's tactics, resist
>>81024115
I have made worse bets, not that I can remember when. This is the one that may not pan out for me.
But the more I hear about Bats v Man the more I get hopeful.
>>81024202
has it been released in the UK and Japan yet?
if not then its definitely gonna see a sharp increase, might even hit 800m
>>81024202
A second wind in the US and other already released countries would be swell.
And think of Japan and the UK, which still haven't had their release. Japan has to wait another month.
>>81024114
>>81024205
I-I cant... fight... it! Oh God, they're so cute! My fursuit is already ordered and should get here on Friday!
>>81024247
Japan is end of april
>>81024150
The question is can bad word of mouth beat the hype?
I'm not sure it can. Its the first time Superman and Batman are sharing a major release. Its pretty big.
>>81024276
its getting released on a major holiday too
>>81023747
Yax is the best, with Nick in second. Don't know what to think about Nick having "Under the Cover of Darkness" since the title sounds like a sneaky nocturnal animal song but it's really about parting with friends to join the army. Maybe it's him saying goodbye to Finnick when he joins the force.
Clawhauser's is the most fun since it's the closest he'll get to coming out to the audience.
>>81024202
I hope it doesn't make it, zootopia is the cancer killing /co/, not even Steven Universe is this bad.
>>81024293
Fuck me, it probably do the impossible and overthrow Frozen. And this is actually coming from a anon who likes Frozen.
>>81024253
You're right. Japan is a great market for this too, as so many Disney movies capitalize on word of mouth. Considering all the supercities they have, we're on the right track.
>>81024286
It worked in reverse for Deadpool.
looks at this fucker, so smug, and full of himself , thinking he can outwit anyone because he's a fucking fox.and then this happens

Zootopia? More like Zoophilia. Yiff in Hell furfags.
>>81023263
I know I've been saying how incredible the fascial animation was in this film and it's repetitive praise... but holy fuck.... how.... how did they make this look so authentic?
>>81023974
This part is what i meant with the ears.
Also a little tip for the eyes, which is again just an opinion

There are furfags who think that this movie will beat a fantastic movie like bvs, rot in hell you furry degenerates. /co/ has always hated this movie.

I love how the picture it parodied finally came full circle.
>>81024442

Or they just know how to keep it under control.
>>81024155
I actually kind of already had the feeling she was a furry, but Judy Hopps just didn't strike me as the kind of character to trigger a gay awakening
>>81024503
No, outside of your containment general, nobody likes this furfag degenerate movie.
>>81022059
Meadowlands is best choice. Temperate climate and close to Canals/Rainforest which probably have a lot of fun water-related activities.

I think Nick is really cute in that pic and not even in the faggot way that so many anons do. He reminds me of my dog, and I love my dog.

medows are shit for me, fucking pollen.
Temperate rainforest is best biome. lots of rain to keep the pollen down, not to hot meaning humidity means nothing. Plus plenty of shit to do with trees and shit.
Alaska got at least one thing right with the rainforests.
