This show has the potential to be great. We know this from how good Clone Wars often was. And right now it is okay, but why isn't it great?

Characters are fine, it's the events that are boring. In the Clone Wars, we had a new planet and new battle every week, or some weird Force shit.
Rebels has just been a handful of planets, with the same objective of getting fuel or looking for a base. That's why everyone loved the Chopper episode, because it was different.
Hopefully this season finale has someone turn darkside or something. I really don't want season 3 to be attacking the new imperial target of the week.

You don't need to erase the crease in the center (I don't bother on most of the scans). Just combine them and bring down the highlight point to around 240 and that is good.

By the journal, you mean the Star Wars Rebels: Rebel Journal by Ezra Bridger and Star Wars Rebels: Sabine My Rebel Sketchbook? I'm afraid my library has neither of them so I won't be scanning them soon. My library does have Rey's Survival Guide, so I could scan that. My library also has Star wars, absolutely everything you need to know and Ultimate Star Wars, and some of the Rebels visual guides among other things.

"Ultimate Star Wars" and "Rey's Survival Guide" is probably most in demand.
I will say though, that "Everything You Need To Know" is very misleading because it's actually based on Legends. There's a disclaimer at the back of the book.
Ultimate Star Wars is basically a more Canon-focused version of that book anyway, minus all the Legends details. So there's no need to scan both of them IMO, unless people REALLY want it. It's mostly just outdated numbers trivia.

Man, I've been pleasantly surprised by the story in Star Wars: Uprising. It's nothing revolutionary, but for a mobile game I was surprised how bummed I was when people died or betrayed you.

Have some fun facts, anon.
Cowboys only cared about hats because no prostitute you'd want to be arms length from would touch a man with a work tan. The perception among non-cowboys was they were the dirtiest, shittiest people imaginable in cleanliness and morals. The real purpose of a cowboy hat was to go to town and not look like a cowboy.
Also, cowboys fucking loved ice cream in the rare places it was available. They'd take that shit over booze anytime. To be a cowboy and order a sweet drink was a mark of success.
Also, most cowboys were:
1) Black
2) Mexican
3) First generation immigrants from Europe who spoke poor or no English.
Very few red-blooded Americans were cowboys, and if they were it was a mark they'd done something REALLY fucking stupid or were just poor as shit to wind up in that life.
The patriotic proud cowboy ws a result of Theodore Roosevelt, who decided being born rich was for complete faggots, and he'd know what the hardest work in America felt like before he touched his daddy's money.

Vader is by no means invincible, and it is hardly as if only Luke has survived him. He's tough, powerful, and certainly deadly but he'd be boring as truly unstoppable. Unfortunately some people are really very vocally pissed whenever Vader fails. Such as Hera outflying him. People tried so damn hard to reject that but, yes, maneuvering Vader into a trap he fails to sense is indeed outflying him. It was not, however, the same as truly defeating him, just escaping. I think that's where the angry people don't see the distinction. Vader technically lost but the Rebels hardly won that encounter.
Similarly while he wanted them to escape in Siege of Lothal that doesn't mean he wasn't legitimately surprised and inconvenienced by them dropping a walker on him. They very likely legitimately escaped but it still played into Vader's ultimate plan.
Happens in Lords of the Sith too. People do escape him. You just normally have to be very goddamn lucky.

It's important to remember >>80986310 since they keep trying to tell people that science doesn't mix well with Star Wars. For instance Kybers don't so much power the laser as we've seen in the Utapau Arc that they merely AMPLIFY energy. Now that does indeed still require power in order to make the resulting energy discharge even stronger, and the answer to that is, believe it or not, the Force. Kybers are powered by the Force and therefore the Force is the most likely energy they're tapping into to make blaster bolts and etc stronger.
Alderaan wasn't destroyed by technology alone, it was destroyed by a Force weapon of mass destruction. In that same Arc Yoda says that both Jedi and Sith constructed such weapons in legends of old. Yeah.

The suggestion is that the kybers are still Force amplifiers of energy applied to them. The main difference is the lightsabers are relatively much lower power than the DS, obviously, and the resulting energy is focused in a cohesive blade. The Death Star uses a giant kyber to create a super charged blast that kerplodes entire planets with no attempt to contain it after it leaves the primary emitter.

That's kind of the problem. Her backstory involves a lot of struggle, but what we actually see in the movie shows very little of that. The Force coming to her rescue is part of that- we saw Luke have to learn to trust in it and slowly gain power through the Force. Even Anakin, who already had an almost instinctive connection to it, still needed to hone his skills. With Rey, the Force just kind of decides to be her BFF and let her do things that ordinarily would take at least some time to practice. So the Force itself is treating her like she's special in a way it didn't even do for the supposed Chosen One.

She didn't do everything right. We had about a quarter of a thread yesterday that got into this. Among the three mains Finn was the only one who was consistently defeated by TR-8R and later Kylo Ren fucked him up, though he actually did better with Ren, managing to wound him.
Poe was just an unstoppable murder machine in his X-Wing who could shot down Stormtroopers right in the 10 ring with each shot while going high speed, then swoop up and wipe out three more TIE fighters. Dude was insanely skilled for someone who didn't have the Force (that we're aware of).
Rey fucked up, tried to deny her destiny, kept wanting to crawl back to Jakku and live a small, quiet life waiting for delinquent assholes to finally fetch her, got beaten by Kylo Ren once and nearly a second time before she managed to access the Force. Needed saved several times.

We didn't, really. He just had to learn the trick of blinding himself. Blame Uncle Owen for beating too much reality into the boy. Obi-Wan had to use a blast shield to blind him and make him connect. Later in the comics he manages TK while blind, hitting Boba Fett on the head with a case. Yeah, blind guys again. The funny thing is when you start in on his backstory it gets more and more mary sueish. Not saying he is! But it's possible for people to make the case. She even got to keep one tree and they tended to it at his family home.

I can agree with you, however I wish that they'd have at least touched. Chewie patting her shoulder, or her patting his arm. Preferably both.
However if people argue that Leia and Rey sensed each other's mutual pain over Han via the Force and went to comfort each other, she could arguably sense Chewie's desire to find some place where he could be alone.

Just watched a Clone Wars episode in which Obi Wan fakes his own death and replaces a criminal. It really builds the atmopsphere of what the world is like (especially on coroscuant, which I love), and lets you get into the universe with great stories like these.

I think I figured out what frustrates me about Rebels.
It's inconsistently good, and when it's good it's usually because it's doing one of two things:
1) Referencing The Clone Wars
2) Ripping off Avatar: The Last Airbender character archetypes and plot points
I'm glad we're finally seeing some episodes like Legends of the Lasat and The Call that are just so bizarre and unique that they finally give the show an identity of its own, but unfortunately it's the sort of identity that's really hard to build an entire show around, and even then it's not as good as when Rebels is blatantly referencing/ripping off better shows Dave Filoni was previously involved in.

The setting is too limiting too. You can tell they want to do crazy things like 'The Rebels take an entire planet!' or 'The Rebels assassinate a Moff!' but they can't because it's set before the Rebellion's first big victory. This is probably why every season gets closer and closer in the timeline to ANH, so they can finally have episodes set during the war instead of during the time of Rebels dicking around and failing at everything.

Filoni directed 9 episodes from season 1 and then got poached by Lucas to work on TCW. A:TLA's golden age was season 2, which Filoni was not part of.
