We (and by 'we' I mean people who spend a lot of time on the internet, watching animated stuff, playing video games, reading fantasy stuff) are more resilient to shit like this than normies. So for them, presented with their first extra-normal experience since they were children, they immediately want to go to that world to experience more of it.
If you've played tons of video games/read comics/read scifi or fantasy novels, you've pretty familiar with the feeling of imagining yourself in an immersive world that is completely different from the 'real world'. So we know how to deal with that feeling.
Most of these normies don't. Hence, pic.

Not saying they don't exist; just saying 100% of them either:
-have seen newer fantasy movies such as Harry Potter or LOTR, or
-didn't see Avatar either
No way was the space smurf movie someone's first exposure to fantasy settings.
Someone requested this I think. Well it's done now.

Trust me, I know people who've never seen Star Wars (or just saw TFA). Hell one guy from the office felt that he had to watch the "original Star Wars" before he could watch TFA, so he watched them IN NUMERICAL ORDER. TPM->AotC->RotS then stopped there and hasn't watched ANH->ESB->RotJ.
But I never said they never watched anything fantasy before. I simply meant, they've never felt like they wanted to *be* in a fantasy world until Avatar.
Remember - one of Avatar's big draws was "oooh, 3D!" so it probably got a lot of people who don't watch scifi/fantasy movies to watch because they simply wanted to experience 3D.

Avatar was lauded everywhere as "THE 3D film". So many ads went like "you've never seen 3D like this!!!"

Do you think that, if Zootopia was real, they'd look at us the way we look at Blacksad or Cyberpunk fiction? A world where one megapredator conquered the world, and gave rise to horrific war and death while routinely driving animals extinct. Fuck, maybe we're 40k.
People still like some parts of 40k here though. Even the heretics have their fans and there are untold numbers of people who would fuck Slaanesh. So maybe you're the husbando or waifu of some qt in Zootopia who'd give anything to live the grim darkness of your world.
>>80951864
I'd like a fic that does this. They just read about stories of a fictional evolved rodent-derivative and how fucked up the world is under their heel.
>>80951950
That would be incredible

>Imaginary predators that somehow evolved from rats rule the world, slowly destroy it with political maneuvering
>Kind of like Game of Thrones in modern times, with somehow more cruelty and death
>Movies books etc.
>Main character of fic gets a crush on the monsters>Never becomes an anon in Zootopia fic. Humans are genuinely not real.
>Fic ends with main character thinking to themselves how badly they want a human waifu, falling asleep clutching a vaguely person-shaped bundle of blankets
>They feel our pain
>>80952184
Holy shit. Maybe it's Dawn in prison. She's reading fantasy/sci-fi novels and gets absorbed. Last words of the fic would be Dawn at a computer terminal, on an imageboard, typing in

I don't even have everyday references to define the word sacrifice. Maybe the city is built on a peninsula.
It's described as the city where animals "first" put aside their differences, so, it's possible that in pre-coexistence times it wasn't somewhere very many people actually lived, but a neutral ground selected for meetings between different animal groups - once peace happened it was a center for political coordination, other people came in to service the diplomats, and eventually it got built up as a big symbolic thing, probably getting a big economic productivity advantage from the diversity of its citizens. The rest of the landmass it's on could just be the big bunny farmville, with maybe a few other biggish places on the other side of that, but low-pop enough that the rail lines converge before reaching the city.
Most of its transit and population influx could come from air travel or sea.

>>80960696
Who said anything about married sex children etc? In the end it's just for labeling purposes, all that matters is what they want. Judy and Nick are at a point where, if their feelings were both on the same level, they could hold hands and they could kiss. This just automatically gets labled as "couple". "best friends" and "platonic friends" and "motherfucking bros together" don't hold hands or kiss each other. There's nothing cliche about two memebers of the opposite sex liking each other past just "friends" after a certain amount of exposure to one another, if they click in that way. All that remains to be seen is..do they? do they click with each other?

Wait, what. Was this in the facebook Q&A thing? I must have missed that question if so
>>80961652
No, it's in youtube. It's from an earlier interview.
>>80961180
That seems... out of character for Judy.
>>80943864
Do I get a cute country fox husband who likes to bake when I go to Zootopia ?
>>80961859
NO.
just NO.
that wont happen again. i know what you think about , but NO.
Anyone know where I can read all of the chapters of FunBun Season (or whatever it's called). I've only been able to read update 4 because all of the links got deleted last night.
>>80961859
>anon in zootopia
Is that an actual thing?
I'm tired of shipping. The only ship I like isBellwether X Anon

>One more step towards having our own board.
Don't joke about this, sheep fucker
>>80961630
>>80961859
Do you really want to go down that road?
>>80961389
>A documentary is done about the tumultuous era of prey-predator relations in Zootopia's history
>The Nighthowler conspiracy was uncovered without Judy and Nick, but not before significant damage was done that takes decades to heal
>An older Judy Hopps is interviewed as a former police officer, turned public official dedicated to bridging harmony and equality
>So is an aged Nick Wilde whose name was uncovered as a person of interest.
>Judy is hopeful, but Nick is bitter and states the city is simply not a place for predators.
>He had become a recluse who adamantly refuses to ever go near the city again.
>>80961859
GOD, no plz no
>>80961859
I don't think there's enough content to justify that, sadly. How much can there really be to discuss that needs seperate threads, you know?
I mean it'd be nice, but can't really justif..
>constant 24/7 Judy x Nick general where I can lurk and chat with my fellow JxN shippers about our obsession with these two being together and why we love it
Oh fuck, /ZOO/ WHEN??
>>80961965
>GOD, no plz no
Stop typing like a fag to increase the chances
>>80961496
I deleted it because I forgot to put a "2" after the "Zootopia."
Walter and Jessie are still on the loose, right?
>>80961859
>anon in zootopia
These threads haven't reached THAT level yet. The concept of a human in Zootopia seems to be generally frowned upon even for fanfics.

>multiple other sites
Go ahead, name them. I'm waiting.
>inb4 8ch and FA
if that was your answer, you're out.
>>80962014
Why don't poles like the wordburg?
>>80962014
It is kinda good, although it still cannot outclass the original voices. But A for effort.
>>80962106
>Go ahead name them

A ship after my own heart.
>>80962106
Would /b/ work for things like this? We could actually post lewds if we did
>>80962113
what do you mean? "-gród" means "-burg" , "duckburg(kaczogród) , mouseburg(myszogród), animalburg(zwierzogród)"
>>80962129heard the russian reference?
>>80950189
I didn't know Crow T. Robot was in Zootopia.
>>80962014
is there any dub where judy isn't a cutie.

>>80962144
Because I know these type of people like it's nothing. There is no other site for this. I called out the two sites I knew they would call out because they're 100% NOT the sites you want to go if you just want to discuss the Judy / Nick shipping. 8ch is just porn and FA is furry trash, it's NOT the place for those discussions.
>>80962187
That's even worse, man.
>>80962106
I haven't checked, but I bet reddit has a sub for this. You can reblog and message and exchange fan art in tumblr. I haven't even checked if forums for this exist, but I bet there are. And why are you discounting FA and 8ch?
There are literally multiple sites where you can endlessly talk about it and chat/message people.
Like what you said, there is not enough content to justify a separate board. Zootopia is a great movie, but it will be like Tangled where discussion will eventually dry up, and I'm fine with that. You can always make a thread when something new comes up in a couple of months or so.
>>80962214
>tfw you remember that MST3K showed up on Arrested Development.
>>80962202
I heard and understood all the references. I mean it is a nice touch (the white wolf named after the witcher and kapitan żbik reference was nice), and the dub is high quality (compared to what could be), but i prefer english voices overall.
