Lots of theories about Alpha Trion there. Probably going to get a Leoconvoy out of it, if not by Hasbro, than by Takara likely. CW Liokaiser is going to be a CW Skylynx as the core body remolded/painted into Deathsaurus people have said.
Which again, is why I'm pretty sure none of the Liokaiser guys or Deathsaurus are gonna die in the upcoming stuff. Hasbro likes to see their stuff featured, I assume.

At BotCon 2014 they brought this concept back with Alpha Trizer (an Alpha Trion repaint from the Thundertron mold)
Considering how Alpha Trion never had an alt. mode in the G1 cartoon, it's not that much of a stretch if he turned into a lion.

Plus Liokaiser is going to be a US release as far as anyone knows, but in this case you're probably better off waiting for the UW release of him because I'd bet, with all the remolds and shit Takara is doing for G1 accuracy, the Takara version in this case is going to be much better. The majority of them are already out: Devastator, Defensor, Superion, Bruticus and Menasor. Only Victorion, Computron and Liokaiser haven't been released yet.

Yes but the ones in America are notably worse. Defensor has a remold of Swindle as a limb instead of Groove and Blast-Off is a straight recolor of Slingshot. The Constructicons don't have elbows and have QC issues and don't have their traditional weapons. And Menasor needs an upgrade kit from third party because he was badly designed and manufactured.

Afterburner is the only one that will be identical, Scattershot gets new weapons and combiner head, Strafe is a Blast Off retool instead of a Skydive one, Nosecone is a Rook retool instead of a Brawl one and Lightspeed is a Breakdown retool instead of a Streetwise one. Also no Scrounge.

I find that rather interesting. It's certainly not been that way in other threads, especially the /co/ Star Wars thread where the conversation often strays from the cartoons and comics. And at least one mod hangs out there, too.

I don't know, TFG just isn't what it used to be. The Star Wars threads on /co/ are usually pretty chill but they have their own user fights over canon and shit. Usually as long as it's related it's all good.
TFG used to be like that but yeah people are a lot less open to just have fun discussing all things giant reconfiguring robot regardless of media format. With Star Wars right now I guess there's some arguable wiggle room in that they're doing the massively connected "everything is canon" bit that Hasbro more or less tried with Aligned. I know, I know, not EVERYTHING was canon but a good chunk of it was meant to tie together.
Now curiously even though Aligned is more or less over with elements of it are creeping into the movies and comics. It's...kinda weird? Something like that anyway.
All I know is I miss old TFG. Love Prime or hate it, at least it helped draw people into the threads. Once we had enough people we could generally keep any Transformers conversation going. I mean when is the last time we even had a decent Transformers biology discussion? Or created something off the wall like Foodformers or the Sexy Covenant stuff.
