If I had one complaint about the scene is yeah, Pyrrha seemed to jump from scared, to happy/comfy, to scared again and then powerslamming jaune into the wall. All in a span of about 2 minutes. I know she had a lot on her mind, but it did seem to move really fast.

I'd have to go back and check his exact phrasing, but he implies that the last Arc in his family to be a fighter was his grandpa, IIRC. That doesn't mean he doesn't have sisters who aren't accomplished, of course, they might have gone to combat school and not gone to a hunter academy - or they might be successful in mundane jobs somewhere. Where the fuck is Jaune from again, is he a native of Vale? Maybe one or more of his sisters are cops, lawyers or bankers or something. It's a long shot, but I'm kind of hoping it turns out to be the exact reverse of that and the normal expectation. Maybe she's gone full Jane Goodall, lives in the wild with grimm via ironclad emotional discipline, convinced that coexistence is possible. Could be an interesting way to set up a contrasting character to Cinder, and provide a good explanation for leaving Yang behind, given babies are not known for said emotional discipline.
