The "Pearl belonged to White Diamond" theory is based on extremely flimsy evidence. For one, we know there are "hundreds of Pearls" so even though it seems each Diamond has one close personal secretary who seems to have their color coordinated with their Diamond, there have to be plenty of other sources of Pearls. For all we know Pearl was one of a half-dozen hand-maidens to a random elite gem that was under the command of a completely different diamond.

At the same time YD could easily have hung up on Peridot the second she used the direct diamond line for such a trivial transaction. She could have left Peridot to die with her mistake instead of wasting resources to rescue her. She was even extremely tolerant (though obviously annoyed) when Peridot started talking completely and utterly out of rank and started suggesting new courses of action.
If Peridot wasn't such an extreme traitor to the Homeworld, even though she had demonstrated extreme incompetence and lack of judgement, she would have had a rather pleasant interaction with Yellow Diamond.

I think it shits up the pacing really badly. I don't think of episodes, I think of groups of episodes, like a movie comes out every 3 months or so. It makes me miss the details :/

CG Pearl has the most personality and is the most obvious choice but when it comes to appearance I'm not a fan of the forehead gem and depending on the episode she looks like she has too little hair on her forehead.
Blue Pearl hasn't done anything but I think her design is the prettiest, similar to Lapis;
Yellow Pearl has the design I like the least but her smugness amuses me
