Good Morning/Afternoon/Night /co/
It's time to shit
actually those are pretty great
Some of Kevin's worst work honestly. I was glad I read these before committing to a purchase.
>>78583676
Bitch to be you right now OP.
>>78583747
>moving to Mexico to start your own business for 20K
Is this really possible?
>>78583952
20k USD is like a millionaire in Mexico
>>78583896
it doesn't seem too terrible right now, what goes so wrong
>>78584031
The dialogue peaks at mediocre, Kevin's take on the characters is one-dimensional and boring, and overall I found most of it to be a snooze. But that's just my opinion.
Also art is ugly.
>>78583998
What the fuck is this shit.
>>78584085
the art IS dreadful, pretty sure that's a fact
>>78584081
I don't really read Batman, is Joker always this gay?
>>78584206
No, he's only gay for Batman. Sometimes a competent writer gets hold of him. Just not often.
>>78584206
Only for Batman. so yeah. You should read Batman Europa
>>78584153
>unholy briss
>baruch haba, scumbag
>>78584153
>>78584177
>>78584196
is this meant to be satire?
It's funny listening to the Fatman on Batman podcast with Grant Morrison because Grant will talk about some of his writing techniques, and Smith will say something like "oh yeah I try to do that too when I write Batman."
I wonder if he's aware that he's a completely shit writer.
>>78584378
>I wonder if he's aware that he's a completely shit writer.
I seriously doubt it.
>>78584538
>>78584551
it's like a car crash - i just can't look away from the tragedy.
What possessed you to do this OP?
>>78584675
Meh. I was bored, and I wanted to continue the SoP train that was started last night
>>78584375
>I'M THE CAPTAIN NOW, IRISH
>>78584702
Fair enough.
>>78584823
That's the second time they've mentioned grinding gears, and they're in vastly different contexts.
Damn. I should pay more attention when I post
>>78584928
"wasshhh......assssss"
>>78585007
>that fat Michael Keaton face
>>78583952
yes it is... but you wont find beach property for 20k, anon, unless its just a small portion of land and you oughta construct the building yourself.
100k would work reasonably better.
>>78585068
>100k
Gonna buy the entire country?
>>78585102
Surely Batman is dead and not just aping Deadshot's trick. How thrilling.
>>78585102
Joker want to lick goats?
>>78585136
should've aimed for his mouth.
tho knowing Batman he'd probably catch with his teeth.
>>78585007
if only the rest of bman's head wasn't obscured, this would be the perfect reaction face.
>>78584782
ok sorry OP, I tried but I gotta drop this, right here
>>78585190
Keep reading. C'mon, you can do it
>>78584031
The comic triggers all the batfags, who go all "NOT MUH BATMAN". Smith also writes dialogue like your typical stoner comedy, and that triggers them further.
These are not bad comics, but they dont feel like Batman comics.
>>78585007
>>78585252
I'm not a batfag at all, but the quality of it ranges from poor to average and the art is awful. They're not bad comics, but they're not good by any stretch.
>>78585335
>he nicked his heart with a "knife" the size of an Apache helicopter
>>78585385
The top of the chimney is off-center.
>>78585487
And here we come to the worst part.
Well that was Cacophony.
Next Wildening Gyre
>>78585624
>Next Wildening Gyre
Oh god please no
>>78583676
>Cacophony
What are you doing?
Pls No, the only thing worthwile /co/ wise that Smith has done is Clerks, DD and GA, this is just a big letdown; stick to Fat man on batman.
>>78585624
No thank you
>>78585641
Yes anon
YEEESSSSSS
>>78585662
You're gonna take it and you're going to enjoy it
Not but not ifs
>>78585678
>Kevin Smith gets his head vaporized by yellow Skeletor right off the bat
It's not all bad
>>78585694
Nice copy and paste of Iron Man
>>78585710
>no brains
no shit he's a fucking skeleton
>>78585624
>The Ritz, Brother Black, Phantom Jockey
I must know more!
>>78583747
>massive access codes to some of the most insane, genocidal criminals in Gotham.
>20k
Fuck off. Access to the Joker alone would be worth millions to someone.
>>78585784
They're dead, and that guy killed them. He kept their masks as trophies in his suburban home.
>>78585807
I must know more!
>>78585817
>neo-nazi
>willing to shoot at Batman
>afraid to curse
Awesome
>>78585820
Give me a couple days to shit out a comic about them and pitch it to DC.
>>78585900
Now I want a crossover where Batman helps fight the Flood. Preferably with Poison Ivy teaming up with the Gravemind.
>>78583747
>Joker reads Ayn Rand
Not sure if I should be surprised or not
>>78584871

Onomatopoeia was a good concept for a villain yet so terribly executed. He should have been an antagonist that was based on deception and not fighting.
>"When I did Green Arrow, I went with Onomatopoeia for a villain, just because I loved that word, and it kind of formed the character inasmuch as he would say sounds out loud. It only kind of works – I think – on a comic book page because if you have a gun going off, they usually write BLAM! and then you can have, you know, the character saying "BLAM!" in a word balloon, but like if you tried to do that cinematically you can't really rock it. A gun in a film sounds completely different. It doesn't read as BLAM! and so to have a dude say BLAM! after a true gunshot, all these people would be like "he's just retarded". I think it works great in print and on a comic book page. I don't think that character would translate very well outside of that.”
What the fuck Kevin?
>>78586603
It's a little jarring because I can't tell if he's just saying the sound effect, which is very comic book-y and kooky but sort of works (especially for a Batman rogue) or if he's supposed to be mimicking the actual sound, which doesn't work at all but is hilarious to imagine (but maybe would work with a different design and some kind of sound-echoing tech).
That one cover of him among the sound effects is great though, and I do think he has a lot of potential as a comic book villain. But making him generic assassin #3 was a bad move, I agree.
>>78587118
>cape unironically talking about not being willing to be a hero unless his gimmick is new
>>78586544
oh shit is that Fun Land from Sandman? it totally is
>>78583676
Am I literally the only person who likes Flanagan's art?
