How did the other side of the Great War ever put up a fight in the first place? With all of Remnant's populace being named in defiance of the, what was the fan term, "Color Nazis?" That implies that said losing side was such a small segment of the population they couldn't have had much of an army in the first place, or else more people would have non-color names due to descent from the families who fought /against/ individuality in the War.
So what happened to them? Was it the Grimm? Was it Atlesian weapons testing? Were they picked off by mercenary Huntsmen/Huntresses?
