I don't know if I'd fully agree on the art, but agreed on the story. Though they aren't entirely comparable besides the fact that feature young Clark. One is an origin and the other is slice of life adventures.

At the risk of turning this into another thread shitposting about some movie from several years ago, I think it's less a case of untrue to source material and more about the execution. On this it missed the mark of protectiveness to me. That movie in general tried to do a lot that should have been good but just didn't translate right. And Lois and Clark Pa was like that too so it's not even the first time that take was adapted into anything and they weren't exactly working from scratch.
