It's a pretty easy recipe, actually. Just cut up an onion, half a turnip, an apple and some carrot really fine, and cook it down with some curry powder, then simmer in chicken stock (covered) for about 45 minutes. Add the chicken and cilantro when it's done cooking, lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste, then serve the whole shebang over rice.

Oh, I didn't mind that because Black's entire character has been circling about his struggles with his sexuality.
He's a straight laced man living a lie and that's the entire reason he is on this journey of discovery.
Coupled with the fact that he's come face to face with the occult several times and goes out of his way to ignore the signs...that scene was astoundingly effective in ways that it wouldn't have been had those aspects not been set up before hand.

And that... might be it for contests for me, this year. My Christmas budget is dwindling, and from here on it seems the best use for what's left is to help get that ungifted list down to 0. Can we do it this year? I think we can. But on the flipside, only two Tajador Christmas Contests doesn't seem like much of a Christmas at all (and I still have my pet questions from the past years that I didn't pull out yet), though I'm glad other people have stepped up with contests of their own. So a good thing to do is to get a pack of 'bacon ends', cut them up into discrete chunks and freeze them on a cookie sheet and then put them in a plastic bag, and then pull them out when you want soup. Take a dutch oven/large pot, start bacon. Add chopped onion, carrot, celery, and some garlic paste; if you have a small herb garden, sage and thyme do wonders. Then add broth or stock, rice or barley, and meat either leftover or chunk chicken from a can.

If I'm feeling really adventurous, I throw in a ham hock with the soup too (works wonders for beans) but if you're trying to stay away from salt, the smoked, cured ham bones they use for that usually are pretty damn salty too.

Do you have a crockpot? If not, get one, you can get a perfectly fine one for $30 or less easy. Then all you do is put the bones in with water, maybe some carrot ends and onion, sage, whatever overnight. Be SURE to get one with the removable ceramic insert, it makes cleaning up so much easier. I don't even know if they make them not that way any more. Crock pot is so easy to fill in the morning, go to work, come home to dinner mostly ready, freeze the leftovers.
My sister has an InstaPot, which is pretty amazing, but pricier--but it can do everything in one unit, saute/slow-cook/pressure-cook.
