The fact you even know there's Thomas fans and that you know they want a directors cut of this film automatically lets me know you're one of them, and you should know good and well what the answer is. They're legitimate spergs who have a loveboner for it because it was their first Thomas movie.
Nobody on /co/ is going to understand what you're even talking about. They sooner gave birth to the modern MLP fandom than they did even think of getting into Thomas.

The director's cut of this was apparently very different from what was actually released, and from what I've seen, it honestly at least sounds like it could've been pretty decent.
Keep in mind that most of the Thomas fandom consider the released version to be pretty bad.

The final movie had about 30 minutes or so of material cut out of it. It sucks for the people who worked on it but I can totally understand why they changed it up. Can you imagine trying to get a toddler to quietly sit through a two hour long movie?
