As it stands Ruby's character while not one of depth is at least workable.
She's a prodigy who isn't full of herself and although not being what one would call an analytical leader she's got the people thing locked down tight while being able to lead from the front.
The issue is of course that Jaune got a lot of screentime while she got less and Jaune was given a lot of 'character development' that in reality did shit all for Jaune's character because little of what was shown in the first two volumes led to what little has been seen in 3.
It makes Ruby look stagnate.
