MoS2 wouldn't fit into their rumored plans. Looks like each of the core five League members (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash) will get a solo to help establish the universe. Then they move to teams/duos to flesh it out (Justice League, Titans instead of a Cyborg solo, Billy/Adam Shazam duo, Green Lantern Corps, Birds of Prey, etc.) with core League members giving cameos to support group movies.

trolling aside, one of the things that Marvel does right and DC does wrong is the way their characters.
Marvel creates round and likable characters, that will make you care for them, and watch the movie for them. DC make their characters just flat, more statements symbols,rather than actual characters.
For example marvel creates an effect like Star Wars did with Darth Vader, or Indiana Jones did with Indiana Jones.
Nobody liked Clark in MoS*, and nobody wants to see BvS for Superman.

It's make it or break it with this movie for WB/DC. If the audience doesn't like it they're fucked and so is the shared universe. Casuals only want to see Batman.
It looks aesthetically pleasing, but Snyder films always look nice - the actual story and characters are debatable. I thought MOS looked real good, the fighting was nice, first time Superman's flying looked good, but I couldn't give any shits about the characters, least of all Clark Kent.

Antman is by no means the hit you all claim. Six months ago it was all it's one of the top movies of the year, #6 or whatever it was then. Hunger Games just pushed it off the top ten for the year and by the time the year is out, it will likely be pushed off the top 15. Making it (not counting the Hulks since you Marveldrones never go there), the lowest grossing MCU movie.
If you look at ticket sales, adjusted for inflation or not, domestically of the MCU movies other than first Avengers make top 50 http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/adjusted.htm which goes to single ticket sales/admissions; and only those two, the Iron Man sequels and Guardians make the top 50 non-adjusted.
If Marvel thought they'd be making a ton of money off Antman (or Thor), they'd be greenlighting more of those, even if they have to replace Natalie Portman and make it female Thor to do so.

They do share commonalities. The only other Superman that comes to mind where he has to be given an ultimatum forcing him into into revealing himself to the world is Earth One.
Doing that is a way to go certainly but it also changes the narrative; it makes Superman self-centered, unwilling tow risk his own comfort or privacy in order to serve a greater good. And that's a pretty significant change.
Not to mention that Man of Steel sets up a universe where the bad guy is the one that sets the tone for human/metahuman relationships.
