This isn't the start of Parkerbolts proper but I didn't want to start there because it actually takes over from Digglebolts in mid-stream and then ties into Siege heavily, so this is a good clean starting place
>>

Hello Storyteller.

I've heard that the premise of the Thunderbolts was originally supposed to be the big twist of the story. Spoilers, I guess.

Two things.

1) I'm never going to be able to see a agency which deals with supernatural shit, without thinking of the SCP Foundation ever again.

2) Cap is beefy as fuck in this art. The serum is working overtime today.
>>
>>77807012

I had to fucking drive through fog so thick I couldn't see 20 feet in front of me and THEN had to deal with Washington DC traffic in the rain.

Fuck the highway I'm flying next time.

It and The Librarians go the route of throwing literally every bit of folklore, legend, rumor, history and fiction together and mixing and matching different bits. They play with and purposely subvert a lot of them in fun ways so it's entertaining to watch just to see what they do with something familiar.

To quote a past /co/mrade:

>They flipped that with US Agent. He told off Zeus to his face that he only believed in one supreme being because Zeus was just some powerful but not transcendent being, and that if that made him a 'god' Spider-man might as well be the god of wisecracks. Zeus almost pasted him before another greek god there was like "he has a fucking point." It was kinda in the same vein as the "There's only one God and he doesn't dress that way" crack in Avengers, except way more aggro than playful because US Agent rolls hard

> The dire straits in which the X-Men currently find themselves, however, rather than simply being the result of one or two or 10 bad stories, is more the logical outcome of many years of consistent mismanagement and what appears to be a constitutional inability on Marvel’s part to remember what made these books so popular for so long

> In practice, however, they remained hooks in search of a story for much of Bendis’ run. Cyclops’ idea of a “mutant revolution” was never explained as anything more than a rear-guard action fought by a small splinter group of like-minded mutants trying desperately to stay one step ahead of S.H.I.E.L.D. (One of the unintentional running jokes of Bendis’ run was the slow devolution of S.H.I.E.L.D. from a world-class law enforcement agency into a gang of borderline-racist Keystone Cops.) This lack of focus eventually became part of the storyline, with those around Cyclops slowly realizing he was just making up his plans as he went along. Meanwhile, Beast’s time-travel scheme backfired from the very beginning, with the original five becoming trapped in the present and unable to return home for mysterious reasons.

Well, that's clear and blunt

> The building blocks are still there, left mostly undisturbed by Bendis: dynamite characters with exciting powers, gruesome villains, and endless potential for soap-opera shenanigans between impossibly sexy men, women, and beasts. What fans most definitely do not want to see is Marvel’s Merry Mutants fighting an evil cloud that makes them sterile, and they especially do not like the perception (whether real or imagined) that the X-Men are being put to pasture in favor of the Inhumans.
